I don't install Google Services on my devices.

No GApps = better privacy, longer battery life and lower memory usage.

So far, no issues on my Iron Man ROM 256GB Exynos Note 8. Still passes safety net and is magisk rooted. Once I get affected by this, will gladly switch over to modded Google Play Stores...only scroogle will be losing out on my cash.

How about google allows bootloader to be unlocked easily making flashing custom rom easier and certify some of famus custom roms makers like lineage so user can enjoy custom roms without security issues or increase the software update support to 5 years

dudecool, 28 Mar 2018dont care anymore, do people still flash their phones theese days? i would have thought it wou... moreI have lg g4 and lg decline support in fact from the first day of production. Lineage OS is much better all the crap lg made and I'd like to flash my phone to Lineage. But this miserable Korean company locked bootloader and don't let to flash custom firmware. Just because they don't care about all people who ever bought their crap. Lineage OS could be good to solve this issue.

killing custom roms is one of the worst ideas google can go for .... i shouldn't buy a new device every 1 or 2 years just to receive latest software update or shouldn't wait for a year to get the official software update and this is what custom roms are doing beside fixing some errors and bugs in the official roms and giving me the customization i want for my device ... googles strategies has been Deviated so much after joining alphabet company and they are killing all the progress and innovation they done

Who cares? I don't use Google services at all. Moreover, I have already disabled all Google apps on my phone (including Play Store). Because I hate when something that I don't use is running in the background (including automatic updates). I also hate software as a service concept. I'm willing to use only the apps that are fully featured offline apps. And I sideload apps (I download .apk files from any website except Google Play). If I want to watch YouTube I open it in the Firefox for Android browser.
