Still, having a high ppi doesn't mean it's better. There are far too many factors like color reproduction, brightness, viewing angles, sunlight legibility, etc.

P.S. I'm NOT saying N8 has a better display than GSII. That was just a generalization.

AnonD-616, 22 Aug 2011360x640 on symbian devices is way better than any android devices :-) . hahahahaha. lol. PPI with that resolution on a 4" screen is 183 PPI, and on SGS2 (4,27") for example, the PPI is 218 PPI, which is more. Lower size screens, 4" means 233 PPI. Have something to claim still?

Still, nokia is late. We should have had anna when N8 launched, and belle should have been the update instead of anna.

The reason these updates are coming fast is because Android has given a stick to Nokia now...before it was a pure Monopoly...Thats why I said, Android is a disruptive technology, hopefully it carries on, so that Nokia at-least can think they have a competitor on the market...

AnonD-16342, 22 Aug 2011Really speaking, I want the WP8 interface with the Symbian to be the last one standing out....... moreSymbian as Android has been two excellent Open Systems that beign used by many people. With goods apps an support of many blog sites and independent developers.

However, Symbian didnt have the care of updating that OS in many years, until now.

But ANNA and BELLE has been too late for the market race.

Maybe if there was launched about 2 or 3 years we had now a more fresh Symbian updates, but they don't do that.

Android can run on same fate, Manufacturers can get boring and look for a more actual OS. I hope Android don't took that way or will repeat Symbian history...

                                    1. Symbian is the fastest on low profile hardware... that will mean that, when WP will be adopted by Nokia, the hardware requirements for the WP will shoot up, that means more expensive and powerful hardware will be needed..... So Symbian will be downgraded to entry level devices.... but that is good.... reason is that Symbian will find its way into the hands of the users of a market who are still using the pathetic Bada OS or its very close relatives from other verndors.....
So its really not the end of Symbian..... maybe its just a new beginning....
And with the current hoopla going on....I wish I would not be paying such high amount of money for a great phone in the future....
