Android is android and made by google. Capici? That means, pure android is the naked one. Your sonny has every "blootware" android has PLUS Sony blootware. You just got smart. Welcome.

If its ok for google to put bloatware, its ok for the OEM.
Besides, Samsung and Google add bloatware, Sony adds features and tunes android so its faster than so called pure android.

Nokia doesnt ad any value to Android and advertises it as pure android even though its filled with Googles bloatware.
At least Sony adds some extra features to android without causing to to lag more than other Android devices.
This whole pure android thing is garbage. Android infested with only google bloatware doesnt work any better than android with the manufacturer's bloatware added on top. It might take time to update, but most people don't really seem to care.
If they did, no one would buy Samsung, Huawei and Oppo
Anonymous, 29 Mar 2018Have the phone been reseted after update? Should be done in every phone after system update! ... moreNope, this is what i said, i do not want to do it, until i am sure is not a problem of tge system itself. Anyway, thanks for answering.
Nokia_fan, 29 Mar 2018Good job from nokia. Beating the flagship phone from lagsung in the update release schemeVery true. Samsung is very laggy.
Seriously? I mean some Sony fanboys used to say that Sony was the 'king of updates'. Look whos talking now! Not to mention that Nokia 5 belongs to the mid range level. So what happened to their X, X Performance and XZ?
Anonymous, 29 Mar 2018Overpriced and underpowered , feel sorry for people that bought them.Jeolous lol. I feel sorry for those who don't brought them. My Nokia 6 is awesome running smooth now no heating
I have a 6, and got the update just a few moments ago. I'm in Venezuela.
Anonymous, 29 Mar 2018Overpriced and underpowered , feel sorry for people that bought them.Oh well at least Nokia midrange phones are having Android 8.1 while many of other branded flagship still having Android 7.0 in 2018! And for me my Nokia 6 work's really fine and so durable. Doesn't get that Spiders web after a drop what you usually get in yours once dropped. And still if you hate Nokia no one is forcing you to buy. People who love the Nokia brand will anyway go for it. Peace!
I updated my Nokia 5 to 8.0 over 4G ...1.7GB...I don't think the 8.1 update is only via Wi-Fi!
Overpriced and underpowered , feel sorry for people that bought them.
Nokia_fan, 29 Mar 2018Good job from nokia. Beating the flagship phone from lagsung in the update release schemeProblem is that both these phones are trash , too slow for anything.
I checked my Nokia 6 in the Philippines, and the update is already available. Yay, Nokia! Currently downloading.
mine just update nokia 5 to android 8.1.0 oreo today. After update installed, go to recovery mode and wipe cache. Now my phone better than before. QUick setting backround changed to black transparent, power menu revamped with black background. Battery consumption now good, decrease heat problem

Not resetting causes quite often the synthoms you mentioned.
Oreo 8.1 should not have so Many changes that affect the battery to better or worse in anyway.
Received Oreo 8.1 on my Nokia 5 in Bangladesh yesterday. Performance seems to be better than 8.0.
Blue 56, 29 Mar 2018My Nokia 5 still hasn't got 8.0. Taiwanese unbranded version.Download available in Pakistan as well for Nokia 6 (2016)
