eelpout, 30 Mar 2018yes, my XZ1 has a basic Video Editor, which I assume is what the XZ2 comes with.From that video editor can u adjust the 960fps slo-mo where u want it to be as usual? If can then Sony have no problems if u didnt get the right moment at the 1st place as it can be edited later.

Literally the only advantage which XZ2 has for slow-mo is the FHD resolution(which drastically shrinks the recording time as well, which clearly sucks) and that's about it. S9 can record slightly longer, has the automatic motion detection which is obviously helping the guy in the video get the footage in the right moment, better low-light performance and offers tons of editing option afterwards. If you're not an average consumer and don't like automatic recording, then you can always turn it off. Sony Mobile always rushes out to release new features without implementing them well so that people can use them with ease... Samsung does the opposite, they always wait for the technology to mature into practical level then put it into their phone.
Try to shoot slow-mo with XZ2 then S9, you will find yourself missing the scene out 8 out of 10 times on XZ2 while on S9 you'll be getting it right 90% of the time.

Soo many fanboys here... So here is a non bias opinion... Sony is better in terms of resolution (1080p),everything else pretty much goes to Samsung. The Ui is easier to get around and use, has auto capture, has more options to video edit and has better low light and noise reduction. But if you only take slow mo in daylight, Sony's 1080p resolution will look better.
