Avsroy, 31 Mar 2018My SM-A910F (A9 Pro 2016) is still running on Security Patch dated 1 Aug 2017. Shamesung! Thi... moreIs your phone malfunctioning? If not, what are you complaining about? Just use it as per normal! The update won't make your phone run faster, take nicer photos, become brighter, louder...
Google always send security patches to OEMs a month in advance. So this is not a surprise at all.
Anonymous, 31 Mar 2018The iPhone 5s from 2013 costs the same but is still supportedSupport is good until it utterly dumbs down your performance.
Anonymous, 31 Mar 2018My OnePlus 5T is also stuck on the December patch. Fu*k OnePlus.buy nokia next time
My SM-A910F (A9 Pro 2016) is still running on Security Patch dated 1 Aug 2017. Shamesung! This is the last device I shall buy from this Co. Better to pay ha of the price and get as Chinese phone like Xiaomi or Huawei that receives much more regular updates than Samsung with its 100 models with 1000 country versions and All running late on Security and OS updates. An obvious ploy to force users to upgrade. And that I will - add it won't be another Samsung!!
AnonD-481725, 31 Mar 2018It is a 2015 midrange phone, what do you expect? The iPhone 5s from 2013 costs the same but is still supported
Crocop, 31 Mar 2018I'm glad for people who get it, but my J7 2016 is still stuck on December 1st 2017 patch and t... moreI don't know about you but yesterday my mom's Galaxy Xcover 3 VE got March security update so Samsung is maybe lazy about updating their high end phones but it seems they at least sometimes update their low end phones
The title should add "for the latest flagship Galaxy phones." My S7 is still on January security update.
--VM--, 31 Mar 2018Don't expect silly things from Samsung...Yeah, I know. One thing that really bothers me is that cheaper J5 2016 got Android 7.1, while us, the owners of more expensive and more powerful J7 2016 got Android 7.0 and we will probably be stuck on it. It's just Samsung logic at it's finest.
NoMatter, 31 Mar 2018Yeah, but still no Oreo for my S7. No more samsungs for me next time. Its around the corner, expect it around april 10th
Don't worry, they will pull it back again shortly. It needs to be tweaked for all the 90+ bloatware on its units.
