AnonD-737741, 03 Apr 2018Hopefully, this project will expand to older devices.. You can actually check if your device has it by getting Termux installed and writing the following string
Getprop ro.treble.enabled
It'll show you a boolean falue (yes/no, true/false. etc) True means your device supports Treble, and False means it doesn't.

AnonD-73118, 03 Apr 2018OK. This is the reason why my honor 8 pro updated to oreo much faster than most of the devices No, it's not. Treble is feature of Oreo so it will bring faster future update that come after this Oreo update.

Hu... moreNo, I'm pretty sure its your service provider...mostly because I had a similar issue...the update WAS out for my device, just nobody bothered to greenlight it for installation.
Just grab FirmwareFinder from Google Play, check for updates that are released and certified for your device, register for it, download and enjoy.
Had Oreo for nearly a month now on my P10.
