I don't care which brands comes back, as long as they introduce something new. Nokia brought GUARANTEED updates, maybe someone should bring new trends that aren't notches and lack of headphone jacks.

Wait that wasn't a good thing since it pre-dated telescammers.
We already saved BlackBerry from extinction, and Nokia has been Jurassic Parked back to life... the other ones died for a reason. Let's leave them be.

They make excellent phones, they just hav... moreand non-existent advertising, there was no adverts anywhere in the north of the UK or on TV. in comparison the moment Samsung or apple is due a release it's plastered on the side every bus, billboard and network window in the country. that's the reason HTC is struggling they don't put money where it's needed.

I don't miss those old and dead brands. As this world is belong to survival of fitest or the one who successfully adapts to the present can have a future.
Those old brands misjudged the market and technology, hence perish like Dodo.
Anyway old Nokia could have the current Samsung if they have chosen Android instead of Windows. But they failed to do so and became history.
The current Nokia is just a shadow of old or brand name. They lack the innovation, quality and reliability like old times now.
Another brand I want to to talk about Blackberry. After old Nokia, BB was the second preferred brand. They have something special about them. Unfortunately it is also sold to a Chinese firm and was good as Chinese cheap brand now.
Anyway I don't think any of these old brand will be come back and successful like old time. They are done and gone forever.
Also I can say that most of the popular current brands like HTC, Asus, Sony, Moto (after the takeover by Lenevo, it is crap now) etc will be dead in next 5 to 10 years. Reason most of them are now lack creativity and innovation. They are copying design from Apple or Samsung.
But I am very optimistic about 3 brands for next few years which will be very strong. First Apple, second Samsung and third Huawei.

Nokia is being helmed by HMD which is a Finnish company just outside Nokia HQ in Finland. Does Arto Nummela, Florian Seiche, Juho Sarvikas sound chinese to you?
SONY may be chugging along in phone business. But they are one of the leading camera innovator like 960fps and the pioneer of 4K display. Most of other brands depend on Sony for camera sensor. What brand are you using now?
HTC 11., Although it is less advertised it is simply one of the best camera right up there with the pixels in term of quality.. Your ramblings are merely assumptions based on your malnourished knowledge in today's phone.. I suggest you go and read all the latest news and reviews to get up to date lest be branded as an ignorant troll

Not to forget "Trium" by Mitsubishi Electric, they once had many advanced devices.
The "Mondo" for example was one of the first Windows Pocket PC devices back in 2001
