Here is some brands I want to die:
Nokia (return to the dead really, it offers nothing new yet fanboys are buying because of the name). Also they are mostly chinese at this point, far from old Nokia.
Sony (trite design, zero support after a while, bad specs, overpriced, need I say more? Oh they do this sh** consistently for years)
HTC (amazed that is still alive. Ever since HTC One every year is worse than the last. Bad cameras, some of the lowest battery life in the market, entrenched in bad designs)
Blackberry (well it's mostly dead, but even as a carcass it is unseemly)
I really love to see Ericsson come back with the new smartphone. When I was in High School, I used T65i, and its a phone for the people who know the technology, and have a great price. Not a phone that know the people with the high price.
I dont even want to name brands to make a comeback, I just wish there would be more than just 2 big names (Samsung, Apple) a third really big one that changes every now and then (LG, Huawei, Xiaomi) and around 5 struggling once (HTC, Sony, Moto/novo, Oneplus/Oppo, Blackberry). I know there is brilliant Meizu, Vivo, Gionee, ZTE, Nokia, etc. phones, but really they do get outadvertised by the once named before.
What people do get is a monopolized market. If you ask the people around you to name Brands they may know 4 brands making phones, but they actually barely bought anything but sam and apple...this is sad, there is so many devices, with oh so many reasons to support them...people just stick to advertisement like glue. Wish there would be a way to support stuff like essential, yota, sharp more than one customer alone can do...
Marvelous time vere back then.
Can't say that BlackBerry is back... The keyone is nothing compared with the passport or the bold line, where they used materials like stainless steel, carbon and leather, and you did not have to turn your phone to watch videos as the screen was always in landscape. So, yes, I would love to see true blood blackberries come back. They should really focus on the people who want a "Swiss army knife" phone.

well.. the easiest solution is: to ask those china phone factories to produce cheap china phones with "siemens"(or whatever else) sticker.
Nokia have successfully done it
Dear Nokia, can you bring Sybmian back from the dead (after fix it to match ios or android ) ?
btw, i love nokia always
Siemens and their HUGE balls of not being afraid of wild designs.
But even those "normal phones" like CX65 where in their times amazing phones, First phone that I used internet everyday on it using 100MB package for 6 euro on prepaid card.
That wild usage of infrared connection with computer where I had to put phone in specific place and even 1mm difference would mess amazing transfer rate of 5-20kbps...
And god damn I still have two of them. One was sprayed with aceton and it still work, battery swelled as watermelon but it still working.... amazing device...
Right now all new phones look exactly the same, and I dont mean just copy/paste notches.
All phones dont have soul, they all are just two slabs of glass/metal with just few holes for cameras,,,
You can put all new phones in table cover logos and you would have no idea what phone is what.
We need company that is not afraid to put some lines, addons or different materials together on phone.
We pay today 700-900$ for phones and they look like slabs of black glass, we put them in ugly cases just to protect them and stickers to give them some colors on the back.
Sony had those balls when they where making old devices like Arc, Neo, Ray... those lines, those curves... and now? They round edges and call it AMAZING design....
Siemens, first make rough phone, would break nokia when it fall 1m, but siemens just fine even 2m.
A lot of setting for savy tech.
Would love to see Toshiba come back! Back in 2006 when I was in Japan they had such awesome mobiles out, then they just disappeared...

AnonD-737311, 09 Apr 2018Nokia!! Bring back MeeGo!!! A new n9 with SD845 and running MeeGo OS will be awesome You mean sailfish os?
Oh how i miss the days when phones looked different than each other, i enjoyed browsing GSMarena just to look at the pictures, i may do that now!
And so much yes for Neonode, i wish to see small touchscreen phone, with a different UI.
The real Nokia designs from the past, not this HMD Crap...
I used to hate siemens, cos i think its overpriced with ugly design... love ericsson design but hate when the phone battery gone, the phone gone also (when they discontinue the phone, they discontinue all the accesories production also)... i used to love nokia so much... till this day with my xiaomi. I do hope siemens and ericsson can try their luck again.
Firstly, I hope to see Sony Ericsson. Sony alone can't make it. Please revive Walkman as well on phones, not just a plain and uninspiring 'Music'.
Panasonic didn't make any appearances in the other world of place.
We need Palm but along with a Nexus from Google. Palm Nexus has been never a reality. Make it happen.
