Kiyasuriin, 04 Apr 2018I was actually referring to the general RAM, not the GPU's one. The same, you don't need that much on mobile. What's the heaviest mobile game now? How much RAM does it require? Don't forget that RAM stays on, it eats battery all the time. The bigger the RAM, the more battery it needs. Bigger RAM also means bigger space. Now you have a lot of useless RAM and smaller battery, doesn't sound like a good plan, does it? Better you switch them around: 6-8GB RAM and a much bigger battery.

Until someone dare to have an interface from phone to egpu.. like Thunderbolt 3. Plus PC game publisher dare to invest in AAA games into mobile.. (x86 to arm)
Even 810 / 820 is good enough for gaming. Better put the meat into batteries.

(something a... moreDude why do you need that much power when there aren't even games that can push SD820 to its limit, the real problem is not that android lacks power it lacks app and games which can truly push that power to limit, every year SoC gets more and more powerful while games nowhere near and besides your dream chipset will require a laptop battery and why do you need 10GB of RAM when 6GB is more than needed

(something along the lines of an octa core A11bionic(with 4+4 configs, clocked at 2.8GHz+1.8GHz for the Mistral) with even more powerful GPU than the Adreno630, 10-12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage)
If I understand correctly the Monsoon core in the A11.. for EVERY 100 MHz of Clock frequency... you're getting 200 pts on Geekbench... so a 2.8GHz (28x100) would yield 5600 points in single core... and If I'm not mistaken about 14,500 in multi...
and use a special octa DAC with headphone jack. with a scroller instead of a button.
P.S. scrap that... Maybe Mediatek's take on things... like the X30

I think there's no way that Xiaomi is copying the Razer Phone instead they're stepping up their game to compete with Razer phone and other flagships for a blazingly fast experience. I hope this phone comes with 4200+mAh battery capacity for massive gaming endurance then everybody's gonna rush buying it.

Looking forward to seeing this.
As we already know, the Razer phone was decent aside from a $hit screen. Poor contrast, colour and black levels.
Hopefully Xiaomi will use a better quality screen.

Vaio Agent, 04 Apr 2018Gaming Phone without attractive games is rubbish, just like iPhone without iOS softwareDo people not realize that mobile games on Android platform are super hugh and generate alot of money (because of IAP). And since you don't need Google's Playstore for these games to be live and they can get to anyone via APK. Asia, or China, Japan, Korea got many website jus for Android mobile games. Some can be quite popular ( especially Japan, there's tons of anime mobile game that never release outside of Japan. And the same goes for Korea and China too.)
So a gaming phone isn't as bad as many people think ( maybe in the US, they are not very popular). But it isn't the same in other countries.
