Zenodroid, 04 Apr 2018If i understood correctly, 5g would be like 3g, data and calls over the bandwidth. Not just da... more4G supports VoLTE, 3G doesn't. I think you have it backwards.

Well and price price of next phone will be 1500 eur.
Anyway why to develop new exynos if half of the samsung phones still using snapdragon?
Is the exynos so bad that Samsung is shy to put itinto every of its phone?
Waste of money waste of research waste on wages of people working on this improvement which will not have half of the phones because Samsung will add snapdragon.
      Thats not very promising.

Why bother calling it 5g when even the fastest and most stable connection in country like South Korea just peak at theoretical max. speed of 3G, around 41Mb/s in which pretty sure there are lots countries with much slower speed and limited data plan. And who need this other than marketing plot to increase the price of every device?

Just fully utilize the wasted 4g speed cause even the 150Mbps is already overkill for usage!

Not to be seen in s10 or note 9, if Samsung follows their own path.

I still prefer 7Mbps uncapped than 1000Mbps for 2 bucks/GB. even now, 4G w those stupid autoplay video eats my data caps and I already use ublock origin here

Here in Korea, 5G is under rapid development and will be deployed by first quarter of 2019. All three major wireless carriers are very eager to be first carrier in the world to deploy countrywide 5G network. So the smartphone model that supports 5G network will be really *hot* item for smartphone war next year.

Many wireless phone subscriber here in Korea are on the (virtually) unlimited data plan. They usually view youtube video all day long, instead of watching cable TV, on 4G LTE network, not WiFi . Here in Korea, cellular LTE network is actually faster and hassle-free than WiFi.
