Nokia messed up the pricing for the 7+ & the 8 Sirocco. They had the chance to be aggressive with the pricing & land the footing which they commanded in their old days her in India.
I will wait until, the prices get slashed. Already was confused whether to go for either one. But now, I will just wait & watch the upcoming launches (Google's mid-range Pixel, LG G7, Oneplus 6). Or else, will have to further postpone my buying process up till Diwali to get some heavy discounts.

People were literal... more1. If Xiaomi's not spending on design, than even Apple's not spending anything on design for 4 years, because they used the same design for 4 years.
2. It's Nokia who's borrowing Google's stock Android without doing any of it's own development. Xiaomi has it's own custom skin which is actively updated and developed.
3. And for the high prices of Nokias (and Vivos and Oppos), it's not because they are spending more than Xiaomi on development of design and software, it's because they are charging way higher margins for the "Nokia" name, in addition to the extra costs for offline markets and promotions.

I am comparing the 7 plus with oneplus and 6 with Xiaomi.
Both the Xiaomi and oneplus are clear clones of iphone I hope your eyes are efficient enough that you can see.
Where do you think the oneplus 6 notch came from and one plus 5ts back camera and design Iphone copy and paste.
The Mi A1 / 5X , Redmi note 5 Pro , Mi 6 etc etc are all clones of iphone same design copy and paste.
I think you should steer clear from quality and go the these cheap Chinese 3rd rate brands that you seem to favour so much.
Quality = More Expensive.

Excellent pricing by Nokia , Nokia as a brand should create a niche for itself in the market and not complete with Chinese Clones like Oneplus and Xiaomi.
Now everyone who was waiting for the price to be less than 20k can go and buy their Chinese clones peacefully.
Also People may reply to me saying even Nokia is Chinese so let me clear that
Nokia is owned by HMD global which is a Finnish company and Manufactured and Assembled by Foxconn. Which is similar to what Apple does.
So just because something is manufactured in china it's dosent make the company Chinese.
Also I would request everyone Not to compare Nokia to some cheap Chinese clones with No R&D that copy other companies design and paste it on their phones that is how they can sell their phone for dirt cheap prices.
No spending money on research , No software support Just copy and Offload in bulk.
If Oppo can sell a Mediatek Phone for 22k and Vivo a cheap plastic phone with SD 626 for 22k I think this pricing is fair enough.
There is no phone out there that give you USB type C , Ozo Audio , Zeiss Lens , Military Grade build , SD 660, 2Year of Guaranteed Updates etc etc for a price which is cheaper than this.

Nokia 8 sirocco representso a brighter future for Nokia company for its very good specs, and being launched in India is a better step forward.
