Just stop messing with the screens. Nobody asked for curved edges, round corners, notches and 18:9 aspect ratio.

Although I don't like iPhone but I must suggest: notch-less please and flat screen please.

All these have been already implemented by LG(curve inward or out ward), Samsung(smart browsing) .... Apple cannot implement any of these without copying or "inspired" from these

Curved screens are the one thing I despise most about Samsung flagships and wish they would have a flat version.
Although top and bottom curves are not as bad as side curves on the Samsung, flat is still best.

Well i think new apple cost big enough for customers that Apple can come with fully new design and aspects but no.
They sell for 1500 brining just copy from other companies like IP 68 from Samsung face scanner from Samsung Curved Screens from Samsung, 4K recording from Sony. Where Z5 Premium was first smart phone with 4k recording.
Did i forget something?
I think nope.
From own IOS and Notch which nobody wants apple bring nothing trully own.
They could Sack Tim Cook and all his comrades because they have not even slightest ideas how to bring the company into the bright future.

S4 reborn. Oh well. that's a great opportunity to reimplement that feature into the S phones again.
Well , if i do reopen my memories , this kind of implementation also tracked back and seen first from 6 years ago with Xperia Sola with its "Floating Touch" technology that allows you to use the phone without touching the screen aka floating upside the phone . Sure , it wasn't perfect at all and possibly ahead of its time , but hey , at least it was quite useful if not fully one .

Apple is always late to copy good features from other manufacturers.
On the other hand, Others are always quick to copy gimmicks (such as the notch) from Apple.

They both copy each other but Apple get things right where as Samsung are constantly in a "like an iphone" phase
