finally nokia have found an alternative way to use android ...what they said earlier "using android is like peeing in your pants" but now ???? actualy they know android is the unique platform for smart phones but they do not want to paint nokia letters with green android.also loosing company image...they wish to grow by its own image
its only a copy version of android it is not gonna replace android platform,

AnonD-4697, 24 Aug 2011As I said berore.....You can't make a NEW OS run on old phones... And I don't say C7/E7/N8 ... moreYou haven't read that N8 was fully tested with belle :) Nokia is not iOS or Android. Even the s60 5th that was introduced in 2008 is still supported until now especially Qt support. Just buy new android phone if you feel your android phone is not supported anymore..if you even have..

i have both n8 and experia mini

          android pros: App store

          cons:
          # cant select location to install app. xperia mini has around 350mb phone memory so i have to stick with it.
          # cant turn off wifi or go to wifi manager from top status bar.
          # cant close browser
          # no task switch/close option if u want to close something running in the background you have to go all the way to menu and play around :P

NFC? People weren't able to use the simple menu from any bluetooth device to pair (I'm curios how many knew it's called pairing) any gadget or phone. Thanks crapple for this ape-age. We would go towards moile pc's like the windows mobile was....very compatible with pc-file-formats (remember tcpmp or core player?) or the N900 running a modified linux? people are not being able to pronounce "application" anymore.

I have been following Nokia for a year and a half now. I must say this is the most impressive thing I have seen from Nokia during that time.

The sad thing is that it came out a year too late. If Belle on something like the E7 had been available last fall, I probably would have bought it instead of my Android phone. Also, Elop probably would not have jumped on board with Windows Phone 7. It's so sad to see something with so much promise die a slow death without it getting a chance to blossom.

That's a good move from Nokia, it's like having Android on a Nokia phone (the dream of many), long ago Android started copying iOS, but people forgets, and after a couple of months nobody will remember Nokia is copying Android, after all, lon long ago, everybody copied Nokia (wi fi, gps on a mobile phone), don't forget Nokia, because of them, smartphones became a success...

thinker, 24 Aug 2011no matter how fast Android is growing.. It is still a mess. It does nothing well, period. It... moreThat's not gonna happen. Android evolves at a very fast rate and it has the support of the majority of the manufacturers and it's not like Symbian which failed to evolve. Google is not like Nokia and Google isn't slow like Nokia.

Google has vision while Nokia thought that touchscreen phones were just a fad. Nokia thought it will pass and that's why they failed and lost a lot of marketshare. Nokia has become lazy and that's something Google will never be.

Gestapo, 24 Aug 2011Belle arrives in fourth quarter for all Symbian 3 handsets, for example C7, E6, x7. Including ... moreAs I said berore.....You can't make a NEW OS run on old phones...

And I don't say C7/E7/N8 and others are old, the hardware is getting old, you also can't run WP7 on those phones EITHER because the OS isn't compatible.

You can't force a company to make OS updates for all phones, is like if you want the 5530 run stock ANNA is just impossible....maybe in a coocked ROM...and I insist coocked ISN'T good and is NOT the real thing is just a make up...since the OS requires +1 GHz, +512 MB RAM and A total defferent specs that old S^3 don't match.

This can be the same on those phones, the same fate has iOS and Android...You can't get on G1 Gingerbread and you cant get on iPhone 2 the iOS 5

So if you want the latest OS you need to invest in new phones...

In fact BELLE is just for the new entire line up of Nokia..If you have one of the others you will have ANNA that's why they release that OS

who are you to tell us to keep away from a post?
I say nokia is copying android, hands down, you cant deny it.
But its okay, Nokia is desperate, just gotta wait and see how google responds, though I dont think they will, nothing came up about apple copying android's notification system

NOOOO! I want the folders to stay. I'm using N8 with ANNA, and if I update it to BELLE there will chaos in the menu. It's a stupid decision to remove the folders, because everything nowadays is about PERSONALISATION
and it isn't so hard to take your apps out of the folders. I don't understand it ????
