          AnonD-11608, 24 Aug 2011running out of ideas??are you dumb...nokia is going to release worlds first meego phone which ... moreYes they are. Nokia is running out of ideas and that's why they are so behind in the touchscreen race. They don't know how to make a good touchscreen phone that everyone will want and now they are playing catch-up.

          Spin it whatever you want but Nokia's collapsing marketshare proves that people are sick and tired of Nokia's antics. Android is rising at the expense of Nokia's marketshare.

            To everyone here :

            Belle is good news. It doesnt matter in the end if symbian copied android or android copied iOS. In the end, WE, the consumers benefit. We now have a multitude of devices and Operating systems , much more than we did 5 years ago, and all manufacturers are trying to make them better. We have the power of choice now. Accept that and forget about who did what when. That's for the manufacturers to bicker about. Enjoy your smartphone.

                [deleted post]and copy pasting is not a valid reply to every question my friend.

                If you would have read the posts before, sure it may have been done before, but they way it is done now is the thing that bothers me.

                Nokia by all means could've done an OS all too different to Android, and they seem pretty good at it.

                  AnonD-16342, 24 Aug 2011FYI: using Stylus or finger is not a OS feature,,, it is hardware thing... N900 used resistiv... moreI know it's a hardware thing but you have to credit Android, which Belle copied, for the way the pulldown status notification was implemented.

                  It is without a doubt that the notificatrion system on Belle resembles the one on Android more than it resembles the one on Maemo. Even the toggles on top of the pull down menu was copied from Android.

                  The point is that Belle copied Android and Nokia fanboys are in denial and tries to point out that it was first used in Maemo. The one on Maemo doesn't even work the way it does on belle. The one on Belle does work the way it does on Android.

                  Belle= Android wannabe

                      Recent polls and research study have undoubtedly shown that Nokia is without a doubt losing is marketshare to other companies such as HTC, Apple and Samsung.

                      Your comments based on the most multitasking capable phone on the planet also seems like a rather baseless one as most smartphones nowadays can multitask well, and these are phones that have hit the market already.

                      One thing I am curious however, was your mention of Meego. Wasn't it mentioned before that the N9 was the last ever Meego device which was going to be made by Nokia before they went down the WP7 path?

                            Looks pretty promising, go symbian!

                            But I'm wondering, what happened with the Wi-Fi sending thing? You know like bluetooth. It was announced a LONG TIME ago, and I haven't seen it yet.

                                        AnonD-16342, 24 Aug 2011Please... Belle isn't out yet.. so we dont know how does it feels..... How can you say, it fee... moreSimply in terms of screenshots really. Sure it may not be enough to go by, in which I hold my silence till then, but its still extremely similar right down to the wifi and connectivity buttons in the notification tray.

                                        I've really personally nothing against Nokia, but coming from a company that singlehandedly took the mobile world by storm years back, I don't see why they have to look so similar.

                                        On that note as well though, there HAVE been videos out on the internet, however credible they may be that demonstrate the Symbian Belle OS. I pull my comments and jurisdiction based on this.
