And I want you to understand something Motorola does what the Chinese shareholder (Lenovo) dictates and in the second row tells one of you who still has a top terminal from Motorola and Motorola Moto Z and Motorola have not been able to update it to Oreo at this time and has stayed at android 7.1.1.In another order has made some claims like other manufacturers do not rise to Motorola's level of upgrades. We are talking about terminals newer models. Now I use HTC which at this time is far above Motorola in all chapters. Now things Htc a9 concrete have announced that will not go to oreo and did not pass Htc 10 announced they are going to oreo and passed Htc u11 have announced that by the end of 2017 will pass to oreo in november 2017 would have oreo. Motorola Moto Z goes to oreo in January 2018 first ver Siena, second version February / March 2018 third variant April 2018. Now nothing and yet is not a cheap terminal.I do not know you may be Motorola employee but one thing is safe expensive terminals lack of respect for the users and most seriously respects its promises. In business, our compliance with promises made is equal to the bankruptcy that Motorola is not far off. That's how things are.

The software is made in their Chicago headquartes in the US, they also test the new phones with special equipment there. They have the most experience with Android than all manufacturers because they once belonged to Google. Go take a tour!
For all of you waiting for software updates, they will come and they will be rock solid unlike buggy firmware from others. That's why they are taking their time with Oreo. The soak tests are going well.
Other big manufacturers don't even think of updating their budget devices (I'm looking at you Shamesung).
Xiaomi updated their 4 year old phones to MIUI 9 but how good is the experience on the oldest ones now? Probably laggy as hell. Also they were late, they didn't update when people were actually using the devices. Everyone switches phones after 2 - 3 years anyway so people probably sold their old Xiaomis, especially the budget ones. What was the point of doing that?
I'm still waiting for the official Nougat OTA update on my Xiaomi MiBox, it launched in 2016 with Marshmallow, it's been stuck there ever since. And it's pure Android too, no customizations to it.
AnonD-44682, 06 Apr 2018The poster seems to indicate 19 April @ 10 hrsI don't even correct them anymore, it's a ever increasingly hard and thankless work
Merwyn Fernandes, 06 Apr 2018Sure by the time Android Q is out J3 will definitely get Oreo. As it clearly says late 2018... moreYes of course. Late 2018 is Android P, not Q. Lemoto is undeniably taking too much time to push a stock update, which gives me enough reasons to believe they'll take longer.

As it clearly says late 2018.
By then all Motorola phones would be on Oreo.
Also I couldn't see any of the other plethora of budget devices that were launched by Samsung in the update schedule.
Never mind Samsung might not have the time for them.

G4 plus has to wait since it's 2 years old.
Xiaomi dosent even have Oreo for Redmi 5 and 5 plus which were launched in 2018.
On the contrary motorolas 2018 lineup will all come out with Oreo.
Merwyn Fernandes, 06 Apr 2018Since we are comparing with G series do Redmi phones get OS updates and when do they get them.... moreMi3 cost was same as Moto g when it launched,so I simply compared in price bracket. Besides Moto is launching with Android o when p is around the corner. If that's con for Redmi, why not for Moto? Besides where's nougat for my Moto E3 power? Where's Oreo for g4? Is it available to users? Like really? I don't expect them to give Oreo till October or November after p has launched

Don't know why you are not getting the update
It's only that the G series has to still get it.
Also Moto is even giving Oreo to G4 plus.
Oreo for j3 prime is not even confirmed by Samsung officially someone on XDA leaked it and it will take another 6 months for the rollout.

Also if they do they may be able to give faster updates and lag free os.
I don't care about CloneUi and Lagwiz.
With their unnecessary features and laggy os.
Merwyn Fernandes, 06 Apr 2018None of the Redmi phones have got Oreo update till now .

updating unmodified pure android is the easiest job in the world. thats why my moto g 1st gen is running on android oreo 8.1 (custom ROM pure AOSP Stock ROM)
atleast understand diff between stock and Heavily modifeid ROM

Anonymous, 06 Apr 2018redmi note 3 released with android lollipop and updated to marshmallow
redmi note 4 release... moreNone of the Redmi phones have got Oreo update till now .
It's funny you are saying Redmi note 5 Pro launched with Nougat at the time P was out and Saying that it got updated only in china still no official OTA in other countries.
When it should have launched with Oreo in the first place.
All Nokia phones launched in 2018 came out with Oreo , All Motorola phones launching in 2018 will come out with Oreo.
Oreo is a year old and still they are launching with Nougat it's a shame on this clone company.
Btw most of Nokia phones have already got them.
I don't want to get my 1 OS update to Oreo when Android Q is out.
Nokia updated it's Nokia 3 to Oreo which is under 10k.
Where is the Oreo update for Redmi note 4 , Redmi 4 , Mi Max 2 etc etc
2018 Where is Oreo for Redmi 5 plus and Redmi 5.
They couldn't even Roll out a stable build of Oreo for Mi A1 till now.
I know you are a Xiaomi fan but don't be blind that you can't even distinguish it's faults like Cheap quality and Poor software support , Hardware Failure etc etc.
