I think you are talking about the kirin 659 which is use in more than a dozen midrangers.

Anyways this is what Huawei does they release only 1-2 processors and over use them in all their phones so they can cover every price segment in the market.

I'm perfectly fine with 970 in premium midrange, leave the 670 to be the replacement of the 659

Any updates on Kirin 970's successor?? It is always 970 for upper mid range to very high premium models.. like Kirin 670 for all models in Mid-rangers with slight design changes or camera changes.. Huawei should show some variations in CPU/GPU core count or frequencies between their models..
