Toms_Jones, 09 Apr 2018And back is the only place you should put fps. FPS on back is not bad by any means but a front FPS is way ahead in terms of convenience. Easier to locate, can use when phone is laying down, easier to reach with a thumb than to trying to find the back FPS with your index finger and so on.
Back FPS is not bad but there are zero advantages to it. It's a stop-gap solution just like the notch. Not a bad thing at all but clearly a compromise compared to front FPS or in-screen FPS.
Finally Huawei will use new SOC... and Huawei also forgot about kirin 659 (your most favorite processor) with Mali t830mp2 (your most favorite GPU)... upgrade now
If they have a Headphone Jack and expandable storage that would make it a beast. However I'm more inclined to assume it will have neither and will also have a notch so Epic Fail status to you M20...

The Scientist Pigeon, 09 Apr 2018Like what Kirin 970 brought us:
1- Gigantic Score pre production
2- Arrives as powerful as o... moreG72 is not necessarily below 630. The setup in the exynos 9810 is somewhat because more emphases was put on the cpu cores without falling to far behind the 630. And that's with G72 18 core.
And the max cores was 20 for G72 I think. G72 can have more.
r.i.p apple :d cpu. next ipx 300k antutu :d
Like what Kirin 970 brought us:
1- Gigantic Score pre production
2- Arrives as powerful as other available Android capable flagship SoCs.
3- GPU is G72 and maximum cores are 20 which is again under SD845[Adreno630]
4- will fit in a mate and then other smartphones in time of upcoming Exynos and Snapdragon.
5- Then gain rumor mill start to feed K990.
*- HiSilicon claim 7nm of TSMC and eventually we see 10nm of that plant.
**- If we consider that MediaTek is working on a Flagship Helio X for late 2018, then, it might put the upcoming K980 under more score pressure.
But the obvious thing is that, Kirin which is in-house chipset of Huawei, will improve the K970 by being 50% more efficient and almost twice as powerful as current flagship. Graphic wise, they are unable to improve performance by 100%, thanks to what they want to do "For their flagships, leave FHD completely in favor of QHD"
Render more pixel at once = show less frames per second
Open GL:
Galaxy S9+ SD845 = 34fps (QHD+)
Xperia XZ2 SD845 = 51fps (FHD+)
Metal:
A11 Bionic iPhone 8 = 111.0fps (HD+) (Max)
A11 Bionic iPhone X = 56.7fps (FHD+) (Max)
Kirin 970 FHD+ = 35fps
Kirin 970 QHD = 23fps
Maximum improvement:
Kirin 980 QHD = 46fps
Which is still under SD845 FHD+ combination which is available in many brands' flagships.
Shui8, 09 Apr 2018That pics is mate 9 slaps with triple camera. We dont know the official design yet. Shui8, Zenodroid, that picture is the Huawei Mate RS, how do you 2 not know this?
The gap between the smartphone manufacturers is getting smaller and smaller, this is leading to a serious competition, this is what we need and this is what we want, we don't want a leader we want competition.
Zenodroid, 09 Apr 2018With the back fps, it's not worth waiting for. But it's exciting to see what camera it will have. And back is the only place you should put fps.
Imperator Neubaticus, 09 Apr 2018Incredible bullsh!t right there. Wonder who they think they're fooling. You have a proof that antutu score is Bullsh!t?
Sounds good.
