Merwyn Fernandes, 09 Apr 2018It's not good for the economy as well bro we have a huge trade deficit with china. No matte... moreOf course the money would go to China, that doesn't mean our people wouldn't get paid. I mean, that's why 1st world countries like USA, japan, south kor etc. gets their electronics manufactured in China. Of course, some are manufactured in south east asia like indonesia, philippines, thailand etc. I have yet to see something I own, an established brand, that's made in india. But hey, at least 1st world countries trust us with their call centers and tech support. We are best.

Merwyn Fernandes, 09 Apr 2018Much easier to copy Apple when your phones are built in the same factory as Apple. Foxconn btw.Foxconn makes Nokia too, I wonder what will you say about that?

Merwyn Fernandes, 09 Apr 2018It's not good for the economy as well bro we have a huge trade deficit with china. No matte... moreIt's true with every product we purchase dude. In this case atleast part comes back to country in hands of workers and in form of taxes by managers. Unlike almost all other phones like iPhone in which money goes to states and China and in tax havens all over. I'd rather support assembled in India rather than completely imported and High priced phones

With this move, Xiaomi could either increase their profit per phone or reduce the price of phone in India. Good for them in long run.

Congratulations Xiaomi. I really admire it's evolution as a company and phone-maker.

No matter the goods are manufactured in India the money will obviously go to china.

Hence we are developing their Country by buying their products.

Isn't that sexism? How can it be possible 5% men were capable? Or maybe Xiaomi didn't call as many men.
