vrvly, 10 Apr 2018Not that I like notches, but this symmetric design is way better than having notch on top and ... moreYes, and it might have front facing stereo speakers too
(I think you meant 18:9 like the Xperia XZ2 and 21:9 like this one)
"First smartphone with two notches."
Definitely an achievement for a smartphone maker in 2018.
Not that I like notches, but this symmetric design is way better than having notch on top and "thick" bezel on bottom. Not to mention this notch seems slim. Wonder what would users choose, ''thick'' bezels and phone with 21:9 ratio(like xperia) or virtually all-screen front with notches and 18:9 body(like this one)...
Notches aside, front design is unique and that also matters with phones now looking too similar.
I think this is a future. The all screen phone with 2 notches is all we want.
1st Uper notche for camera, sensors and speakers.
2nd Lower notch for FPS home button.
But if you bring 2 notches make sure the StB ratio is above 95%
More! More notches! All we want is more notches! We wanna six notches! All over the screen!!!
If the notch is symmetrical, why also not make cameras and fingerprint sensor on the back too? And show the same status bar on the bottom of the screen for the symmetry sake!
If we have 3 back cameras now, why don't you put 3 notches too, and call it ... ZTE 3?
To design team, i rather go bold with double notches. The top notch holds the great front cam, sensor, earpiece, etc. The bottom notch holds the physical home button with fingerprint scanner.
AnonD-731001, 10 Apr 2018I hate notch. I hate notch phones but at least ZTE's trying.ZTE is not trying. This phone is a rumor, a cg render is all it is ZTE lies.
What? Just two notches. I am not buying unless there are 4 of those, one on each side and a big hole in the centre.
Reminded me of Asha 503 which uses the same Ice casing concept.. Actually the design can really work but instead of using glass at the corners they should use super hard cubic zirconia crystal as the outer rim..
To people who complains about notches and stuffs, do check on other brands or just make your own phone. the world is better when there're less complains
There is only one way I would buy a notched phone, and that is if I had no other choice.
To people who dont mind notches, shame on you for not being able to tell you are being sort of scammed, (not truly scammed) but to get the point across, its a cheap way for manufacturers to not have to invent/implement an alternative.
Notches seriously s u c k.
