The notch is a positive for the G7.
That said, I am also going to look at the other specs too.
This phone will not flop because of the notch. No one who is normal is that superficial to pass over a phone because of a notch. The reason why the G7 will flop is because of the boot loop issue that has permeated every LG high end device ever.

Lol bezel plus notch. That is just sad. They should have stayed with the lg g6 look. It was much better.

Ugly yet uglier. I'm LG phone user since optimus G till G3 right now. Since G4 your reliability is bad, from bootloop, poor build quality etc. G5 is total fail. G6 and V10 is acceptable for being clean and simple, but you subtract the IR blaster functionality from G6. Now that you release G7 as ugly as this, then I am sure I will not follow your product anymore. For me the curved display is a fail, notch is a fail, less feature is also a fail.

Wow, and despite the notch there is still a pretty decent amount of top bezel. It's like a Galaxy S9 with a notch. If these renders are correct, then this phone will be a pretty big flop.

The ZTE Iceberg has 2 notches but look how tiny are the bezels lol, just enough notches for stereo speakers.

Cmon LG! The purpose of the notch is to NOT have bezels. If you're going to have a bezel, then there's no need for the notch. Get with it.
