Its Not about catching up GSM,,, its about overall quality, performance and Real World experience for end user. This is where separates it shelf from the competition, do Not forget that. Hehehe
either way, buy the s8 instead its better value!!!
Oppaii, 10 Apr 2018I still don't get it, Sony have the best Camera Sensors for smartphones and Sony's DLSR/DSLT i... moremirrorless actually, sony doesn't do DSLR/DSLT amymore apparently
about the camera in their phone, it's great and the iso performance is great
the only thing is phone reviewer review the camera differently than a protog will review a proper camera
in smartphone, mp is not an issue since most of the time it just gonna be view back to the phone or to the social media(which downscaled image aggressively, more so when the original pict is bigger), low mp like 12 is good on phone, but crap on say pc screen
next is detail, most phone reviewer prefer less detail & clean plasticky look image than detailed but slightly noisy image, lastly is the iso performance, who need great iso performance when ois can offset it
i know proper camera has IBIS, but it not a buying factor since the lens is interchangeable and stabilised lens is not hard to find
Yes, I put pictures on my samsung forums From my xzp, I say they are from samsung and they are the ones I like the most
Not surprise here, we all know most OEM get their camera tech from Sony. And yet bandawagon will whine this and that. Smh.
Catching up, lol more like "borrowing."
The Galaxy Note 9 might be able to do slow motion 960fps in 1080p. Lol good job Samsung! You're doing it well.
Compared to P20 pro from Huawei which is much better cheaper and has much more powerfull camera than Samsung this phone is rubbish for 1050 eur.
Anyway the year that camera on a cell phone will be equall or much better than any camera from Cannon or Nikon takes several decades if ever will be that good.
So Samsung can try but onkly trying will be never enough.
I've compared the results of S9 & S8's images & found them to be very identical in most scenarios. The S9 only performs better in very low-light scenarios, otherwise the camera isn't any better. Just saying.
Oppaii, 10 Apr 2018I still don't get it, Sony have the best Camera Sensors for smartphones and Sony's DLSR/DSLT i... moreTech sites compare photos in wrong way.
They ignore different focal lengths, dont scale photos to same resolution.
Turn XZ Premium pics into 12MP, it will be better than S8. Turn S8 pics into 19MP, they will be crap.
Lower resolution pics will always show less noise after cropping. You will never see noise if you set low resolution like 3 or 5MP, if you have a flagship smartphone.
Try to check a 12MP photo on a big screen, like TV. It will be crap.
question is which one is better...?
Is there any difference in quality between the 2 ?
I mean, does not matter what sensor it is as long as images end up identical.
Oppaii, 10 Apr 2018I still don't get it, Sony have the best Camera Sensors for smartphones and Sony's DLSR/DSLT i... moreIt because of their software
There is no software on DSLRs
I still don't get it, Sony have the best Camera Sensors for smartphones and Sony's DLSR/DSLT is the best and still dominates the world market. But how come they can't beat Samsung in smartphone camera department. T.T
