Besides, after Cambridge and iCloud, I'd be wary of the merican companies in states rather than Asian ones... Besides, it's just apple and Samsung lobbying. Huawei is sold across Europe with no problems and mi recently came there. Don't see them worry enough for their president to make a speech..

And Apple is waiting for them so that they can shower them with lawsuits.
Look at what happend to LeEco after their US expansion they went bankrupt.
The same will happen to Xiaomi
US market dosent work like other markets phones there are basically sold on contracts through carriers.
There is a very small market for factory unlocked phones.
And no carrier is ready to pickup Chinese brands Huawei is trying hard but no wants.
Also People In the west are really scared of their privacy the same thing cannot be said about Asia or Africa.
So companies like Xiaomi and huawei that survive on data mining won't work there.

For someone who is not a "power user", and sees no need to spend a great deal of money on a piece of equipment such as a flagship phone that will be replaced in 2 years or less, the Moto G6 seems like an ideal phone. I know of no other phone that will have a varient designed for the USA market that will have the T-Mobile LTE band 12, not be a super large or heavy, phablet type phone, have decent specs, and hit the price point of the G6. The only other phone I can think of that comes close is the Huawei Mate SE.
I keep my phone in a Stilgut leather case, so the aesthetics of the phone itself are way less important for me than it's functionality.
If anyone can think of another phone to consider that would out perform the G6 for anywhere close to it's price, I would certainly check it out. I am wondering if the G6 will support T-Mobile band 71, as well as band 12, or if I will need to wait for the G7 for that. Right now the only phones that I know of that support band 71 are the LG V30, the Samsung Galaxy S9, and S9 Plus...

At least they are true to their design language. It's not the best design, but it's doesn't look like an iPhone X ripoff or something.

Shiny glass backs are such a greasy mess. It spoils nice phones. Hopefully some manufacturers will not go all glass backs.

It's a matter of taste. I don't like them too. Too rough, generic, without optimization in design and outdated. Perhaps they'll do it better in the next generation if they survive to Lenovo one more year.
