P20 Pro comes close.. But still no cigar..
Why GSMA didn't show 1020 & 808 sensor size??
P20: 1/2.3" < P20 Pro: 1/1.7" < Lumia 1020: 1/1.5" < Nokia 808: 1/1.2"
The Quad Bayer system although improves the HDR capability it reduces the detail of the output similar to just 10MP detail with large pixels.. The noise will be higher thus the need for the extra noise reduction and sharpening.. This explains the result in previous comparison with 1020
In conclusion.. The P20 Pro barely matched the Lumia 1020.. But 808 is still the KING.
GSMA please please please re-do the studio shots in your database for 808 and 1020(they only have ISO shots not the newer studio shots with live objects) for us to check in photo comparison.

If I am not mistaking P20 Pro has 2μm pixel size which is quite larger than most smartphones
Have to give Huawei credit for such an advanced camera

Haha, why it was not compared to a 6 year old Nokia's sensor? Spoiler: 808 has 2 times bigger sensor

I bet that a $300 new entry level DSLR or a $100 10 years old DSLR will make a much better images than this $1000 phone.

That's a thesis that you need to prove in the review. So please cover the monochrome camera and compare the results.
