QHD is useless for phone gaming, the screen is small, the resolution bump doesn't worth the trade off, considering this is lcd not an oled display 1080 is enough, only oled desperately need 1440
Yes, sd800 series can handle qhd bo prob, but rather spend the power on frame stability + battery endurance

      > No headphone jack
      > No 120 hz screen OR if it's a common screen at least should be Amoled
      > No QHD
      > Poor memory options and no SD card
      > No Inner 256 GB option
      > The camera will be average as well knowing Xiaomi
      > USB only 2.0 and not 3.1
      > In Europe it will be probably sold for 550$ considering Mi 6 is 450+ and Mi mix 2 is as high as 600$.

If this phone came with 6,000 mAh battery, I would have bought it instantly. Unfortunately, 4,000 mAh is now pretty standard, and for a gaming device, it has more body to cover more battery capacity.

Looks quite nice, however, what spoils the phone is the ugly hardware button on the bottom. This was not needed and only making the bezel thicker.

Aside from this the phone looks promising and should be great for mobile gaming.

Looking forward for a review on this smartphone.

It is useful in normal day to day usage in 120hz, but u will not notice much difference between 60hz and 120hz in games. Btw, what do u mean by the graphics quality? The rendering?

also QHD was manageable on snapdragon 800 series so they won't be hard to use with gaming since most flagships has QHD

Wait... so it's got a useless 18:9 screen AND it has big bezels??!?

Not to mention the side-facing monospeaker, which is bad for gaming as your palm blocks the sound.

And the gamepad which is very large, meaning not very ideal to put into your pocket. And even then, its just a joystick (presumably without the L3 button) so you're still missing the 4-Action Buttons, the 4-Shoulder buttons, and the Right-Joystick.

You're better off with a ZTE Axon 7 or Razer Phone and a mounting gamepad like the Razer Serval or GameSir T1s. Or maybe instead a GPD XD+, Nvidia Shield, or probably best yet a GPD Win 2 for portable gaming (if an iPad Mini/Nintendo Switch are too mainstream for you).

The only good thing about the Xiaomi Black Shark is the price, which slightly undercuts OnePlus.

At this point you might as well just buy a Switch.
There's literally no point in this thing other than pandering to an audience. I like the inclusion of a cooling system in an environment with basically no airflow. Very effective indeed.

AnonD-625430, 14 Apr 2018As for a gaming phone, it doesn't pack quite a punch. Lack of SD Card along with a typical 400... moreEven older games need to update there selves to be capable for 18:9 screen as all of the phones come out this year will be 18:9 screens.

Back in the day when flat screens come out for TV they were wide screens with 16:9 and new movies still were made in 18:9 ratio and you still had black lines in top and bottom. I really didnt understand whats the point of these 16:9 screens if movies were still made like 21:9 or something like that.

And well by the look of it games will soon no longer need good hardware to run them. Games need only good screen and good internet connection so you can play them on cloud. There is already few apps that allow you to play full PC games on your droid and even on low budget phones. Good. Now to convince the people who leave reviews on games like Implosion (on sale for $1), to actually pay for the games and not ask where to torrent the damned thing.
