The problem with gaming phones is their GPU is the same as every other flagship phone out there, nothing special about it.
A true gaming phone should have a more powerful GPU and maybe a better, bigger screen to differentiate itself from the crowd.
Xiaomi might be onto something with a nice cooling solution but it's not enough to call it a gaming thing.

Every people commenting here its just a gimmick forget important things:
              1. true mobile gamers play heavy games and the heat generated from that is extremely bad for the cpu and battery in the long term. These batteries li-ion are already very bad in terms of lifespan. Liquid cooling helps for the longevity of your machine.
              2. The black shark is cheap. Show me a flagship with snapdragon 845 for $500 then we can talk. Why should gamers invest $900 in a phone when you can have the same power with black shark for half the price?
              3. Even if you say Xiaomi or Miui is not secure or trustable for a phone, gamers dont care about that. Unless you have iPhone or iPad, you shouldn’t do financial transactions in an Android Phone. Just use a w10 PC or iOS for that.

Everyone saying this is just a gimmick have no clue about heavy gaming on mobile, they only know social apps and Candy Crush.

My current phone have a year and its already 80% battery capacity (the point of no return) i have to sell it. I use it for heavy gaming on the go.

Another wrong thing is to say mobile is not for true gamers. Consoles only have single player games nowadays, except for very few boring AAA games, everything else is not MMO massively multiplayer online. True MMOs are on mobile nowadays, and even PC MMOs are migrating to mobile like Tera and Lineage.

Give us good games and gaming phones will have future.
With the current iOS and Android library, they are pretty much no point of having one.
What will you play? Angry Birds? Some retarded "FPS" on a touchscreen?

Liquid cooling helps to mitigate that for better durability of cpu and battery, also more comfortable to play without a burning rock in your hands.

A gaming phone should be the performance version of a standard phone, not a standard phone with a fancy case. So, a gaming phone today should be: Snapdragon 845+gpu, min.8 Gb Ram because Gaming, 128 Gb storage because Games are BIG, 1080p display because is a Phone not a laptop with 18 inch screen, and a battery at least 4500 mAh because I want to play longer than wait to recharge. A gaming phone shoul be bulky, because of all the above and good grip.

I'm a hard core gamer, it's just completely silly to be walking around 24/7 with a phone that screams "I'm a gamer".
