AMD is making Intel move its lazy azz. If not for AMD Ryzen, we would still be getting old stuff from Intel.

This only fixed 1st ryzen fault. Better memory control, latency and stuff. The extra speed is just a bonus from going to 12nm. Ryzen is bad for gaming? Yeah if you only play csgo with potato resolution and low graphic to get 300fps. I prefer 1444 with good graphic. Sorry I want my game to look pretty. The gpu will bottleneck first so Intel and amd perform just same but amd works better for my multitasking and cheaper than Intel.

okcnaline, 13 Apr 2018Ryzen 7 1700X with liquid metal... I like AMD and all but a higher clocked same architectur... moreIt's 12nm, which means it can clock higher. That's a huge advantage over the first gen Ryzen which couldn't easily clock over 4Ghz.

12nm for these new AMD CPUs really? it might be the first time AMD has more advanced product than Intel's

need to check some reviews, benchmarks to see what happened.
From the prices AMD set for these CPUs, AMD is confident on these offerings. no any price reduction compared with same class of Intel CPUs.

Intel had been moving slowly in advancement in recent years. chip process upgrade cycle is changed from tick-tock, to a 3 step process- architecture- optimization. should not optimization be done supposedly on every new process update? Finally AMD had caught up. Good job is done by AMD. I will seriously consider a AMD CPU for my next PC upgrade.

Anonymous, 13 Apr 2018People always say things like "Intel got a competition now" but they always perform better. AM... moreamd is competitive in all but highest tier and least infested by spectre / meltdown. non-K received heavy blow. the APU is amazing price/performance, mobile cpu (u-series) also promising. their main mosty losing by few fps in games but winning on most production performance on lower price tier. less skimping on pcie-lane on TR/epyc. sadly, I still stuck on 2500k w/ R270 because crazy memory & Gpu price atm

AM... moreIntel performs better got a lot to do with mobile space actually, while amd had solid offerings in desktop, they still lacking in mobile space, since the ryzen mobile cpu is even barely in sight on laptop
Furthermore, not many people can see the advantage of more core in desktop, content creator=yes, general user, gamer = nope

Ryzen is good but the market is for mobile computing now and AMD doesn't have anything powerful in this sector. All Intel for Laptop and all SD for mobile platform.

Ryzen 1 was epic. It even beat Intel in a lot of the benchmarks. Ryzen 2 should be upto the mark as well.
