All we got is a "sincere apologies" and "promises to do better next time". Granted, in here they would admit if there were any defects in our gadgets. But what's unacceptable is some very rude staffs and very long repair time: three months for all phone type, from low end to high end. That's why very few people feel sad when Sony announced that they stopped selling new phones from 2016 then cease the SonyMobile operation in my country 2017 back then.
Granted, a lot of people in my country drooled all over their face (myself included) when they see new Sony phones since 2016 back then, but the drooling stopped when they remember what the "so-called" Sony premium service gave to them.
PeterThePanda, 18 Apr 2018Sure, but remember they pretty much represent the company and are reflective on how they treat... moreOf course. How many satisfied customers do you think that take their time to post how excellent the service experience was? Almost zero. 99% of the people commenting are dissatisfied customers. And that applies to any brand out there, not just Sony. Even Apple has customers that are mad.
Make an official complaint with Sony Japan and also if there is an authority for consumer rights in your country, I'd go there too. If someone gets fired in the process, the rest of the employees there will turn into puppies in a blink of an eye.
That's how things work in Europe. We fire non professionals and we don't hire people without prior experience and training.
As for the lack of service centers, that's directly related to the number of sales in that country or area.

If they're poorly trained, then that's reflective on how the company trains them. If they behave poorly and treat their customers poorly, then it shows how poorly the company manages their employees. The way the employees behave in front of their customers shows what kind of attitude a Brand has. Remember the First rule in management/leadership: Everything is your fault, from the mistake of your smallest employees down to your your mistakes.
Mind you, I never disrespected them when I went to the Service Center. And FYI, a quick Google Search at reviews of Sony's Customer Service (in many countries) reveals nearly overwhelming negative reviews especially at the behave and treat their customers and their products.

The service was impeccable, I got my monitor replaced with a brand new one (for only a few dead pixels). They even gave me a secondary monitor for a few days till my new monitor arrived. I would give them 10 out of 10 for their professionalism and help.
So again, don't blame the brand, blame the people working there. Maybe they're not qualified for the job or they need extra training.
Better make an official complaint to Sony so they can hire someone with the adequate training and skills.
And remember this: the people in the service centers are there to help you, they are not responsible for the brands products, they cannot change things, they just repair them. Yelling and cursing at them will only lead to even worse service. That's how I would treat someone that screames at me.
Treat people with the same respect you deserve and things will be smooth. If not, suffer the consequences.

As I told earlier, the service center sucks and the staff were not very helpful if not a--holes. Mind you, I had a Premium services card that time, they pretty much told me to go to the Main Service Center in the City (wasting my time and money). I was severely disappointed with their treatment, so I pretty much sold my Z3 Compact at a loss and bought an iPhone instead but then came back to Android just recently.
Still no OIS? When will sony give buyers value for their money?
Thus Sony beaSt of cell, flagship of the year 2018.

1. I didn't find any notes about 4K HDR recording time limitation, from tech websites to sonymobile sites, and sonymobile blogs. I'll update this when I find it. Or we could wait for ours truly (GSMArena) to review it. ;)
2. Daily? Nope, you won't notice it. But if you're a creative content creator (say, cinematographer, etc.), you'll find this pretty helpful to fulfill your needs in some situations.

Well, just like any other smartphone, they all geared toward media and social activities for millennials (snapchat, instagram, facebook, anyone?). I found only some powerful phones that could do business as well, and it kinds of only for specific purpose. LG V30, Samsung S9+ and Sony XZ Premium for creative contents, Note 8 for productivity on the move, and not much else. Granted, you could do some other productivity activities as well, but it requires some mild workarounds.
I hope that if Sony could find their way to design smartphones in another new form factor, at least slap a sliding keyboard just like their Xperia Pro series. Even without stylus, that alone I believe is a real killer for productivity. I totally missed that thing. :')

2 times. One resolved in 3 months + 1 week for the mainboard defect. The last one they promised 3 months at the fastest for cracked screen.
Why you wholehearted talking about negative opinion which could be misleading readers?
It's just the customer services that got a mildly negative rep from my opinion. Please, kindly read all my previous post first. It's not all negative.
Which company giving you the best repair service experience?
So far? Nokia back in their heyday. From my Nseries to my XpressMusic, all done in just under 1 day.
When will you change your current phone to XZ2P? If not why are you have so much passion comment here?
If they still run their business and selling it officially in my country, Indonesia, when they launch the XZP Luminous Chrome last year, I'll buy it in a heartbeat from day one. What's not to like about XZP? It's the last OmniBalance designed Sony, looks like liquid metal, great camera , superb screen. But then again, they aren't selling ANY phone in Indonesia. And here we can't rely on grey market too. Risk ratio is just too damn high.
Who will trust your comments if you only giving all negative opinion? You should mix with some positive points to make readers trust in you.
I talked about some positive points, albeit subtly. Once again, please kindly follow my first opinion (my reply to PeterThePanda) to the last. :)

Could be the so rumored PRO or the XZ3 press conference at IFA in September? - OMG, I hope you're not joking... that's a 100% hype-news if turns out to be solid!
I just simply love that concept design as much as the OmniBalance + LoopSurface on both the XZP and XZ1... hate AmbientFlow; the main reason that kept me away from the XZ2 series though... every time I see it I want to punch in the face to someone
So, the stupidity of Apple not making a earphone jack has caught up....Why are all makers following such a dumb move by Apple!?
Be ready for 4k@ 2000fps, completely new fusion camera system, and a much more comfortable fps position, you know what I mean (read it in display), with better designs (read it "Y" design language). Will meet you at ifa..
