Yea... moreHuawei debuts their P9 with dual camera rgb+monochrome back in 2016, that means they already plan it way earlier. Great pictures quality results at that time. Speaking of ISO 100k on P20 pro, they do it digitally, u can tell it by their night mod shots with naked eyes unless u blind. Brighten a very dark environment with very good picture quality, ahead far from competition. I cant wait for XZ2 premium low lights picture results, i know it will be good as well.

Yeah, they worked on it more than one year.
The camera of P20 Pro was designed by Huawei , than Sony Semicon got paid to manufacture. Sony Imaging Division has nothing to do with it.
If P20 Pro can really reach 102000 ISO, why no samples so far?
No tech site, nor DxO have samples taken at that high ISO.

Hahaha the reason why huawei cant even file and will not file a patent case is because it was never their technology. Sony have been developing their sensors way before you have learned how to search on google and by the way huawei are using Sony's sensors too. Just so you know the reason why sony is limiting their mobile camera tech somehow is because their compact camera, mirrorless and dslr business would be affected.

But the most important is that they at the same time they already patented full screen design with ratio 100% too. I don't bother about the notched one if i can buy the full screen one or the foldable one. Designs that probably Sony will implement years later if they do. Always later and with flaws as its current design.

And if you really want to know, the notch isn't as big as the one on the iPhone X AND they kept the 3.5mm headphone jack in all those screen setups.
I personally hope they don't go the notch route and just keep refining their current design until they figure out a way to go full bezelless.

Sony teased this tech before Huawei in MWC February and the XZ2 Premium was going to be announced but for some reason Sony didn't even Frumi the guy who doing the press at the MWC said the name the Xperia XZ2 Premium by mistake then said I'm excited So Sony didn't copy and actually there is a rumour was saying Sony was developing it for one whole year.

Sony since 2012 has a patent to use camera beneath screen too.
But it requires oled.
Sony wants RGB oled, no one makes it for smartphones at the moment, only poor pentile.

A lot of noise, like in their photos, wait till the review show more of the same. Their software procession flaws are still there while their design do too. They are unable to add a 4000 mAh battery in an 5.8" 16:9 but it's weight is 240g! A design with bezels while Samsung patents a full screen 100% ratio.

Good Sony. Copying huawei in the camera department is the way to go (Fanboys never accuse you of copying when you copy from the Chinese,, only Apple and Samsung).
But do something about the weight, thickness and battery size to compete with those of Huawei.
Do not copy the notch, Amoled saturated, fragile, costly, highly degrading and inaccurate display, 18:9 ratio and lack of headhone jack (too late...)
