Vegetaholic, 20 Apr 2018How to destroy company in one week, very good example, should be in the text books :)Next news, china cancels apples manufacturing contract by foxconn.
Destroy company in 1 day. In such situations, US will lose a lot more than cn, not vice versa..

I don't like it! If US put sanction on a country that they don't like, why would they want the rest of the world to follow? It's not UN sanction.
Make your own chip and OS ZTE. Do not rely on a country that lead by Trump.

Meego, after being abandoned by Nokia was split into two: Tizen developed by Intel and Samsung and Sailfish developed by former Meego engineers at Nokia now at Jolla.

Each is better than Android. Zte should join sailfish and make it compatible with Android apps

Not sure if the ban isn't overkill and was happy with my Axon 7 (less so now), but admit I'm not a fan of companies that say they'll comply with regulations then get caught lying. They have also been lying about security fixes as well. I checked and my phone is missing several! Obviously, ZTE has no problem bald-faced lying to governments or to consumers alike. Think I'm done with ZTE.

Google still have a lot to do in smartphones branch to convince me (still not Innovative enough).

American law makers want to say, we can do anything we want, Iran had a deal to buy 112 airplane from Airbus, those airplanes have American parts, why not sanctioning Airbus? its all political game,
America really afraid of China, specially afraid of China's huge economy growth, just look at recent news, prohibiting telecoms to not sell huawei and zte phones, increase of custom duty on stuff that being imported mainly from China, not allowing qualcom broadcam deal, ZTE sanction and probably lot more

It seems that US is bent on in closing doors to chinese goods and services, all in the name of "national security". I hate when economy and politics get in the way of technology and progress.

This is a politics-economical war. And soon others will be objectives too. From China goverment you already can listen voices that they'll do whatever they need to protect their interests. One of the probable targets is Apple. Due to have a propietary and closed SO is easy ban the sell of their products there due to not be able to trust their software, etc, etc. You'll be able to manufacture them there (profits for China) but not sell them there, no money back to US. Time to time.
