Samsung has been peddling mediocre phones at a premium price. Those days are numbered for them and people in mid and lower ranges are finding better, more features for a lower price. I have moved away from them to Xiaomi.

Poeple in these countries are very resourceful, they demand more value for what they pay. It has to do with the low income levels. So people automatically think high priced are for status.
