In Romania this update is availeble since june. I am using mikos's rom with franko's kernel anywhay because is way faster the battery lasts longer. XDA roks...LG sucks at software.

finally got the gingerbread update 2.3.3
guys update it from LG service centre in your state/country....its available with the service centre......the phone performance has improved a lot...

Lucky GoldStar was the original name. before saying something is wrong, search in google.
but this update is crap. better to go for custom rom (CM7/Gingerbread/LOL/Open Optimus).

3d games are smooth after 2.3.3 update..
reckless racing works very nice.
i was not able to install some games with froyo, but now i can install those games :-)
