Sathish, 19 Apr 2018AOSP Webview exists as well.. That's Chromium, AKA Chrome Open Source. And AOSP WebView isn't pre-installed anymore as of Nougat

AnonD-558092, 18 Apr 20182MB because it relies on the Android System WebView, which is Chrome. Original name though AOSP Webview exists as well..

Anonymous, 19 Apr 2018Which browser do you mean? This Amazon's "Internet" app? Or the Via app? Both. You cannot fit a modern, fully HTML5 compliant browser within such a small footprint, except from specialized browsers for the embedded market ( such as NetFront NX, but that's expensive)

Anonymous, 18 Apr 2018Via is a lot better than all the browsers these days. Small in size yet better than chrome and such. You don't understand that this browser is Chrome in disguise. Since Nougat, Chrome is the WebView. This is not a browser. It's an overlay

This nonsense has to stop, everyone gives the native browser/Chromium a different interface and call it a new browser. Even Firefox Focus does that. We need REAL new browsers
