every forum that has windows phone news has die hard fans flocking in to the comment section defending their OS and telling how crap android and ios and every other os that has ever existed is. i wonder why were the sales so meh. i am not mocking this is a serious doubt.

Windows 10 was unusably slow on my Lumia 640, so Windows 10 is far slower than Android!

The main issue Windows Phone struggled with is that people hated the limitations of the OS and it's tile user interface. These are the roots of the death of Windows Phone.

I am still using a like 5 year old Lumia 1520 and going strong with updates and security fixes...can't beat that. Get 2 days on a single charge too. I'd say at least they went out with a bang. Windows 10 Mobile may seem to some as a failure. To me it seems more like a stepping stone to something better. It in itself though is a well rounded mobile OS. Very solid now imo.

Such a shame that Windows Phone is dead. Windows phones operating system ran so smooth in comparison to Android or ISO. The down fall was the lack of app's. If Microsoft had allowed more apps run on the platform I certain that the windows phone would have surpassed Android & ISO to be the number one phone operating system. The people that downed and criticised the windows probable never even held one, just Microsoft haters.

Well, surface phone is coming, no reason to use the old 950. Though its haac mics are still the best with the others bringing just funny performance in comparison years after. Got its uses.
Cannot wait for that W10 device. Pocketable device running win32 apps is awesome. Shame we cannot use android/ios apps on W10 officially, was killer feature.

Anonymous, 20 Apr 2018If you don't like Windows 10 just downgrade to Windows 8.1 or Windows 7.support for Windows 7 will be over in less than 2 years, it is not simple as "dont use it if you dont like it" there won't be any security update
