Wave III specs look good, being a Wave GTS8500 owner with Bada 2.01 XPKH3 on the 3.3" SAMOLED screen then Bada 2.01 on the 4" SAMOLED screen will look awesome.
One thing I would like to know is if Wave III has more than 256MB RAM as the one major let down of Wave I and II is 245MB RAM, not enough to run widgets and apps.
A little disappointed that that its only 720p HD for video recording but looking at Bada 2.01 firmware the have added "anti-shake and tap to focus" which sort of makes up for that.
So its got a 1.4GHz CPU, is that ARM A8 or from Qualcomm? What is the GPU? the same as Wave I and II PowerSR 540 or something else and what chipset? Humming bird or OAMP ...
I have a feeling much like the Wave I and Galaxy S that Wave III has same internals as the Galaxy S Plus.
As for people complaining about samsungapps, Bada OS has some very good apps, sure it misses out on Skype / Viber but their are some really good apps on Bada like storm Radio recorder (lets you record shoutcast streaming) and built in Route66 GPS ..
Depending on price Wave III will be a good money maker for Samsung and at the end of the day that is what really matters.
monday, 30 Aug 2011Why should I buy Wave3 if I can buy Wave1 or Galaxy S for a half price? Same display same size... morethere is a big difference between Wave 1 and Wave 3 and galaxy s is for android users and iPhone is for iOS users Bada is a nice OS stable if you don't mess up with its firmware can run HD games and its so smooth and with the coming update it will be much much better however its still a new OS so we cant really judge it now but it made good hype for a young OS so the new Waves aren't really bad as you may think
GOOOOOD!
WVGA & HVGA screens support 32bit colors deptt. Only WQVGA has 16bit colors.
hmm fine
Wave M looks like Galaxy
Why should I buy Wave3 if I can buy Wave1 or Galaxy S for a half price? Same display same size a bit faster? nothing new at all. after Iphone 5 wil be realesed it better option to buy Iphone 4 for the same price. there is no application for bada and SAM promoting it with mid range phones. it will nor succeed. Owner of Wave1
android sxxxs! big brother (google) is watching you, so thanks to Samsung (Bada) and Nokia (Symbian) for offering alternatives
Nice looking.
I don't know much about Bada, but with TouchWiz the experience should be about the same with Sammy's Adroid phones.
And with the right price they might just fit in a crowdy market.
is wave II will be compatible of bada 2.0
Wave 3 looks beautiful. Nice specs too. 4" screen should be enough for most users.
i m sure that, in future bada will be the father of all os... love u bada 2.0
Anonymous, 30 Aug 2011uhh.. is the wave M bigger than the wave 3 or is it just me?? Not just you, I see that too, because of disproportionate image resizing I suppose.
lol samsung must hav used android 3.0 OS ,, BADA OS is outdate !
not gonna pick !!
looking goood nice i like this
G, 30 Aug 2011Plastic look againProves that you are just a troll
Anonymous, 30 Aug 2011samsung should have use android in place of bada... brother i think u shoule know samsung is the market leader in android and if u want it u can getit from market...
G, 30 Aug 2011Plastic look againDid you read the article? It clearly says "metallic body".
You might say Samsung is putting more umpf into Bada, considering the open-i-ness(?) / future of Android, after the GoggleMoto buyout.
samsung always rocks i love wave
and my family is proudly a wave users family
cheers to wave 3
No matter what they do with the phone, it will not be a success till it has a good application market. Rgt now I'm using Wave S8500, love it, but would love to have good choices in applications and games like Angry Birds. Boost your applications market Samsung!!!!
expected more from wave 3 like 1080p
