Actually, this is what LG supposed to do before making up their minds on making the LG V30S ThinQ, by changing the bootanimation with the ThinQ behind, bringing the AI camera, and probably change the name of the smartphone in system info into LG V30 ThinQ. Wouldn't this save up their time instead of making another smartphone that brings little to no difference at all?

LG V30 will be discontinued and V30s will take it's place. That was the idea that LG had. "To refresh the existing models". It's not that there is no difference between the two in the hardware.
