regs, 23 Apr 2018I would expect a bit more testing. 1. What is USB 3.1 Gen 1, meh that's ugly naming, control... more(Hahaha! That location code! XD)
Anyhow. I sometimes do QA on apps, and I do rely on the benchmarks used here for SD cards. What other benchmarks can you recommend other than Crystal?

The speed of the Card doesnt depend on the card its self,it depends on the phone, and the card reader in the phone,I have a 64 gb samsung evo plus in my s4 and it giving me lower speed than im my friends s9,because his phone has better readers,so fi you have a new USP emmeory card, the speed would be the same, they need to make readers in phone better nothing else

          1. What is USB 3.1 Gen 1, meh that's ugly naming, controller you are using?
          2. Did you try with USB 3.1 Gen 2 controller?
          3. Why no Android tests with SGS9? There are sure plenty of apps similar to CrystalDiskMark on Android.

Anonymous, 23 Apr 2018Still far away from internal memory. Even emmc 5.1 is way faster. Hopefully, Samsung releases UFS memory cards soon, as they're as fast as midrange SSDs. Unfortunately, we're gonna need new types of card slots for those.

I prefer faster MicroSD cards like Samsung Evo Plus and Sandisk Extreme Pro especially when recording HD video or playing back HD videos. 128GB is more than enough for expandable storage. Unless you're doing "research" (if you know what I mean) or not deleting any of your pictures or videos taken, then 128 or even 256 GB is enough.

Right now i still prefer my $35 128gb microSD and $150 4TB External HDD.

That being said, if the price lowered into low hundred, i wouldn't mind to buy it so my Tablet able to hoard all those books.
