I don't understand the hate for notches?! Is it just because of some YouTuber's opinion?! If you like Essential Phone, why would you hate everything else!

Gibby , 25 Apr 2018A little while ago GSMA did a poll about notches entitled 'Notch vs full bezel' 82% of votes ... moreBecause nobody really cares about a poll, except for those interested into it.

Remember, LG asked the community in Reddit on what they think about the notch and many said they hate it.
Then they took it down and decided to add it to the flagship anyway.

This is definitely a direct target on Xiaomi' budget phones to cut off its sales.i really like Nokia x6 this is really a promising move by Nokia what I don't like is the logo on the button of phone and availability, Nokia has the history of marketing thier phones late in the market.if the SD 636 comes under 19k in India then rip note 5 pro and upcoming m1a2.

AnonD-753959, 24 Apr 2018Hey Nokia , the white should have white front bezels as well.White bezels are ugly when you're trying to make a bezel less phone

WOW, the notch make it gorgeous, but why don't they ADD another notch at the bottom to make it more beautiful?
Notch is the most innovative thing ever happen to humankind, just like the invention of electricity. They should apply it to EVERY device on the planet, add it on tablet, on laptop, monitor, TV, eyeglasses, washing machine, car window, ANYTHING is POSSIBLE :D

that is one good looking notched phone, I'm guessing it's about the right to stop hating on the notch, this one is quite nice, should have an option to block out the top bar with black, would be even nicer.

Right now I'm most interested in the p20 solely for the night mode, and pixel 2 (with the bigger bezels) of course, for fast updates and great photos.

LOL Relax.. This is strictly for Chinese market ONLY.. Just like the Nokia 7.. The rest of the world will be spared off this Notchkia.. The Chinese are having a notch-apocalypse so Nokia just had to embrace the chinese notch fans there.. This also explains the weird P60/SD636 chipset selection.. Nokia made a lot of weird phones for their Chinese fans.. Remember the Nokia 3108? Just chill guys/girls.. This X6 will never make it out of China.. Unless you import it and brag it to your friends LOL

This isn't something that true Nokia would do. They wouldn't just copy some design like this. This is the point where the new Nokia's European-ness/Finnish-ness quality (originality) is doubted. Sure, HMD may be headquartered in Finland, but seems they are now being eclipsed by Foxconn (Taiwanese), proven by this so-called Nokia X6. However, if this Nokia X6 is a China-exclusive then I understand.

I also doubt whether the Nokia Corp. (the real Nokia company, not HMD) actually has input on HMD's phone-making attempts. It is said that Nokia has some seat in HMD and "gives some input" to HMD, but it seems not.

HMD-Foxconn is being silly. Instead of copying others, they should revive old Nokia phones, not merely dumbphones from early 2000s but also older Nokia smartphones. It would be more groundbreaking to see Nokia N8, N9, or C-series being renewed.

Conclusion: it's truly a different Nokia, not the same as before, regardless HMD's marketing that they are "Nokia". It's just a titular brand without the same properties as before. Nokia has truly gone for good. R.I.P. True Nokia.
