Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is out in India market maybe two months. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 (China) is out about month, but you can order from sites like aliexpres, gearbest etc, people using these phones. Also, Xiaomi redmi Note 5 Global version for rest of the world is identical phone like Chinese version in specs, Andeoid version, cameras etc.
In this phone, will be the same Xiaomi camera application on Mi A2 (AndroidOne)
Like i wrote this phone have unibody, usb type c, better CPU GPU and its slimmer.
What it does not have is 4000 mah battery, 3.5mm audio jack, and even is not available with AndroidOne, and wont be in the next month or so.. Dont know why Xiaomi made almost identical phone to Note 5. Will be better, that this phone looks like Mi Mix 2.. :)

Looks pretty decent, however battery may be let down. Also lack of NFC.
Well the rest of the specs is great, phone looks great, price is fantastic. Though call.

Differente is Note 5 Pro Indian version. That model have better front camera, but worse back cameras, also have Nougat (with update to Oreo). Chinese, Global, have 8.1 out of box.
This phone, or Mi A2 is better only in two thing than Note 5 global version. First: have better processor (SD636>>SD660), second: unibody case, no plastic parts on top and botton. Also have type c, Note 5 use old microusb. But then.. 3010mah battery vs 4000mah.. At least they given the choices in similar price range.

I still don't understand why they would release this phone so soon after the Redmi Note 5 Pro (Global Version).
Although the battery in the 6X is smaller, I would still be tempted away from the Note 5 Pro by the pure Android experience of the Mi A2!

Request Xiaomi to release MI A2(Global/Indian version) is equipped with 4000mAh battery and 3.5mm jack that are found in RN5P....Big surprise to the buyers!!
At least 4000mAh would suprise!!!

hoping to upgrade from redmi note 4 to this one. but it won't happen just for camera due to smaller battery and no 3.5 mm jack. may consider note 5 pro or other brand.

Battery : Mi 6X < Redmi Note 5 (4000 mAh, software management i never really care)
Features : Mi 6X < Redmi Note 5 (+3.5 mm audio jack)

Back camera sensor is same as redmi note 5 pro, but with brighter aperture. Selfie camera is same in both.

Anonymous, 25 Apr 2018Can't decide between this, the Nubia z18 mini, the zenfone max pro (m1) and the Smartisan nut ... morebattery zenfone, camera a2(perhaps rivaling mi note 3), design nut pro 2(looks too good esp red one, no stock though) bigger battery version of a2 without jack, nubia(dont think it has one)
