Geric.770, 25 Apr 2018Lol. Redmi Note 5 has a headphone jack with the same specs. Why 6X killed it?It has on the top of the ph.
I can already tell that the international version (A2) won't be released so soon. Otherwise, the Redmi Note 5 Pro will quickly become obsolete and the stocks will gather dust in warehouses. Personally, I was looking forward more to the next phone with the Surge S2 SoC (Mi6c or Mi7c) and hoping for it to be as compact as its predecessor but that will probably have a notch just like the rumored Mi7 so this Mi A2 is so high up in my list. The only phone that comes close to this on the bang-for-the-buck meter would be the Nubia Z18 mini but that is very unlikely to ever be released internationally, or at least in my region. The Meizu 15 could have been a great option if only Meizu quits being delusional, charging like it's a premium brand. Looking forward to own a Mi A2 after 3 mos.

Dave, 25 Apr 2018No headphone jack???????????Only Lei Jun knows why is not included 3.5, but anyways, bt headphones is cheap so no real deal. Or, always have choice in similar Note 5 with headphone jack and biger battery, just global version for some reason is not yet available.
Anonymous, 25 Apr 2018calm down people!!! there is a 3.5mm Jack on the top, it's confirmed!
if you watch the launc... moreIt's not 3.5mm audio jack.. It's a IR blaster (like in every Xiaomi device) with secondary microphone on top.
Botton, microphone, speaker, and type c.
Maybe 3.5mm is somewhere on the side? :)
from zero to hero, 25 Apr 2018Mi Note 3 have good battery backup, and that phone have smaller battery than Nokia 7 Plus, but... moreMI note 3 had a 5.5 inch screen and 3500 mah battery
So this is why battery backup was good...
Talking about only lcd screen versions
Apart from Nokia 7 plus ,
Oppo R11 with 5.5 inch screen with SD 660 with 3000 mah gets 81 h endurance ratung
SD 660 is performance oriented

There is no 3.5 mm headphone jack bruh. You must have seen the IR Blaster and misunderstood it with 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Anonymous, 25 Apr 2018Yawn. Who cares about these Chinese phones.Since you asked that question: i do
Kiyasuriin, 25 Apr 2018Out of curiousity. How do you know it'll lack 3.5mm jack?Look at the renders, no cutout for 3.5mm jack
Uffff.. Nokia 7plus got a serious competition.. only brand name can save the Nokia 7plus. Only those who really care about quality will go with Nokia rest will go for xiaomi 6x..
calm down people!!! there is a 3.5mm Jack on the top, it's confirmed!
if you watch the launch event you can see the jack on the top of the phone!
may the jack live long!
Pretty good phone tbh. Will it be a sign that MiNote line uses flagship chipset again? Because out of all Mi series, Mi Note always has the best camera in its respective release year
AnonD-754651, 25 Apr 2018low battery? it's 3010mah - absolutely standard, if not quite large. you forget its 7mm too. n... moreAre you aware how analog and digital audio works? Speakers/Headphones are analog devices which means that at some point a DAC and an amplifier must be present in the route. If you include a 3,5mm jack- all the work is done inside the phone, usually at a higher quality since most modern chipsets have decent audio DAC's and the used amplifiers are usually quite decent too- LG V30 being a VERY fine example of higher-end audio in smartphones. If you push the work to a USB-C-3,5mm adapter- all the DAC/Amplification work has to be done in a tiny adapter, with usually bad internals, ending in a much lower audio quality. It may not be picked up with 5$ headphones, but switch to a pair that can actully use a bit of voltage and current and you will notice it very fast.

charging and playing music at the same time (also while driving) ,costly bluetooth heaphones (charging needed as well, also shitty quality when one can find budget earphones with decent sound quality), convenience (irony though since most smartphone makers cared for convenience), i realized how usb 3.5 mm adapter can lost easily, also - it's a trend started by apple with no basis for the real reason. lastly, bluetooth earphones tried trending like 7/8 years ago, look how far it get ....wired headphones are still dominant and preferred from studio professionals to students with real budgets. Don't be a corporate slave haha

In practice, the latter gives you better battery life (at the cost of performance of course).
