Performance went noticeably down. More space was taken in 8GB of tiny internal memory. Was forced to exchange it with S7 ultimately.

They all look same now. Are way over-priced. Practically not designed to last long (sealed-batteries bound to break phone sooner or later, curved screens bound to crack on fall etc.). Not major improvements in performance or cameras. Latest gimmick is including 'AI' for things been doing good without it previously. I don't see why would people want to buy new phones for such crazy prices. I am not moving to S8/S9 for few years. Even then Huawei's flagship of now (P20 Pro) would be my preference.

Curved screens and round corners are truly disgusting things that should never had happened... but they ran out of ideas.

My friend recently got a Samsung s9+. he said with contract it is cheaper to get a Samsung S9 than an S8. So Samsung's been pushing the sales of this phone buy making it a bargain. That means they are pushing everything so the sale numbers look good. Let's be honest here, would never get the S9 if it's way more expensive than the S8. Samsung is forcing you to get the S9 that's why the numbers look so good.

samsung increase the price.....shipping /sale will go down. Actually samusng is following apple strategy on pricing forgetting they have strong competition with Xiomi, OnePlus and many other offering same specs at half price

S7 sales were actually trending similar to S6 until the note 7 fiasco forced Samsung to put focus back to the S7 and pushed marketing and rebates on the S7 from September/October onward.

Then please explain why does HTC, Sony, Huawei, One Plus, gets their update much faster for their flagship model compared to Samsung. If Samsung does not focus on updates for the flagship there is something clearly wrong with their policy.

The delayed update shambles is 100% in Google's court as they're the ones releasing the incomplete builds for OEM's.
