~~ i spend $700 phone and already 3 years and still using it ... and people call me rich guy because im using iphone
Launching two flagship devices simultaneously, with the "better" being vapourware for months, was always going to be a failure. I still don't get why Apple decided to launch the iPhone 8, and with a couple of months delivery head start. Greed, thinking that all iPhone buyers will keep buying all new models, finally got the better of Apple.

End of the day it's all irrelevant as these are shipped numbers not sold devices, 99% of them could be rotting in some back alley wharehouse.
of course, because the X has a ridiculous price tag, and alot of people prefer less fragile more practical phones like the 8 and below

I have the 8 since launch day, over 7 months ago. I have never been happier with a phone. If the 8 Plus or X were the same price as the 8, I would still go for the 8. Love the compact size, incredible speed, stable performance, finger print scanner and white bezels and thankfully NO notch. The X is simply not my kind of phone.

Busted.
iPhones are perceived to be a status symbol. The design remained unchanged since the iPhone 6, and people had trouble telling whether you had the shiny new iPhone, or were rocking an old model. Out of nowhere came the most expensive iPhone ever with a design that could be recognized from afar, and people lined up for it. But, soon the market was flooded with lookalikes and people could no longer be sure about you being the proud owner of an iPhone, let alone the most expensive iPhone ever. Turned out the humble iPhone 8 duo with home button were more iconic after all.
So expensive iphone x which no body will buy!
True, I think they should have done something similar to what Samsung did with the home button (made it virtual and pressure sensitive). Apple already has the hardware for it, pressure sensing there and they can also keep selected pixels on for the button area.

Right now it must be a bit over $1900
that is because the pricing of the iphone x is insane, if the price of the ipx is the price of the iphone 8, it would have sold like hotcakes, they would have a bigger profit because of volume of units sold not because of bigger profit margins and smaller volume of units sold

john, 25 Apr 2018am pretty sure samsung is already putting it into consideration unfortunately..It's a good idea . Bezels are useless space.
You fix it by a notch and virtual bezels (black background on the notification center).
I haven't hear one bad opinion on the notch that ia based on facts.
People hate just to hate. A bit of how they hated apple's non comploance with flash player and by now they are happy that it never happened...

chester, 25 Apr 2018Notch is now embraced by Android OEMs except Samsung HTC, Sony, Motorola and hopefully Pixel too will be 'notchless'
Not really surprising, since the X is more expensive than the 8 plus and also far less practical for daily use. Apple have lost their touch for a long time now to be honest. In my opinion, the last great phones they released were the iphone 5 and 5s.

Why would anyone buy at such price for a iPhone 8 that is claded in a 4 years old shell? It has not changed since iPhone 6! What a joke.
