What's with the extreme notch bias? Personally I am impartial to this 'amorphous feature', and think the phone design looks great. And with the specs considered, and HMD's premium building quality, this is not really a phone to throw insults at

And one question to HMD fan like you: does boring ui without options, stock, vanila or androidone, have option to hide notch with even more ugliest status black bar like it was in Android Froyo days? Especially on IPS display where is black, new grey :D

As a Xiaomi fan you don't have the right to talk about Nokia's R&D cause Xiaomis R&D is close to zero.
All their designs and features be it hardware or software a ripped off from other manufacturers.
And what sort of AI is Xiaomi providing automatic picture mode recognition ?? Wasn't the same feature available in phones b4 3-4 years.
What's the use of AI in that.

The condition in India is dat.. the Xiaomi's aggressive pricing and the value 4 money of the product... I don't think Nokia could provide that... N also the R&D of Nokia lacks AI features which is very common in most of the phones now... Hope they grow in dat atleast in the coming updates. ..

Could put cameras behind screen, on the bottom, in corners(are round anyway), make it ejecting from phone or use any other new and original way. Finally we can see what brands are really capable of.

BUT you still have the app support issue because you can't use the notch to display anything except notification and they just like to convince you that you can so it sells batter
on the iPhone X some apps support it since all notch"s" have the same look and size
and you have the power draining issue that Apple solved it by using AMOLED screen
oh don't forget that more (both used and unused) pixels decrease the GPU proformence
and NO ONE loves a copycat even a good one (except in China were this phone will sell)
