That's what I did, but it is not as convenient as having them pre-installed. Especially as you will get occasional Chinese notifications too. Not a deal-breaker but I think you really have to want a phone to put up with these small hassles.

Shomi, 30 Apr 2018I do not agree with you. Flyme is one of the best UI on the market. Try to update it from time... moreWon't argue the personal preference part of that... Having an option is why we chose Android over iOS anyhow.

I also understand the whole iOS look and feel. When it launched there was a serious price premium on iPhones in their home market. It was a brilliant marketing move to look and act similar to an iPhone. Kinda stuck and here we have a phone that looks an awful lot like an iPhone with software that does too. Smart marketing move

I really like 15 and 15 lite. But unfortunatelly those prices look like set by Apple or Samsung. These are the first devices I want to buy for the last 2 years, but I won't. I believe I will go for m6s, which is still expensive compared to Redmi 5, but I can afford to overpay 30 USD, not 200.

Kiyasuriin, 30 Apr 2018As long it's pocketable it'll be excellent. My whim is 16:9 and no more than 150mmAgreed. It'll be better if you could operate it with single hand without the need to make the ui pretty messed with things like one-handed mode.

Well, instead of 16:9, actually i'd like to see phones with 4:3 or 3:2 ratio, because with the same width of 16:9 5" phone, it could be shorter so you could reach the top without using another hand.

It looks lovely. If they go for a 18:9 screen they will not have their design differ from the others at all.
Besides, even of they go for a new screen ratio, but keep the current size (142mm length really impresses me) and a scanner button on the front, I would still accept it, even of the use the notch for the camera eye.

good design, notched is pure stupidity. great built and quality, sufficient hardware. but sadly flyme is trash, totally trash, as a smartphone, its still a phone, where flyme, having issue with phone book and contact, keep crashing on the simplest function and contact keep missing.

Kiyasuriin, 29 Apr 2018True. I am seeking a device that can act like a PDA...Well, unfortunately we wouldn't see any new sub 3" devices again, even on the low-end smartphone.

I remember back when any ≥5" device wouldn't considered as a phone, and it's called Phablet.
