Well, it's not exactly got "wow" factor, but it also does have solid basics. That is, if you can get the 6gb model in the USA. Ignoring that, the G7 LACKS that stupid curved screen that some new phones have. I tried to overlook the curve but just couldn't, it seriously got in my way when I tried a phone with this flaw. The G7 continues LG's brilliant screens and superior sound quality and bumps both up a notch. 1000 nits, more than 100% RGB, super loud dual speakers, high audi DAC, and LG even found room for a headphone jack plus SD card slot. The cameras aren't ground breaking but hopefully can be more useful that the over-hyped 12mp cameras that simple do not produce more detail than a good 16mp. I don't need all the silly gizmos that Samsung, Apple and Google are pushing, just give me top quality essentials at a decent price. And the G7+ "might" do just that. ...I'll still wait for actual reviews.

When will some of these OEMs learn the importance and HUGE selling points of huge capacity batteries????? Putting only a 3000mAh battery on this G7 (that they hope will take on the other flagships) is pure malpractice on LG's part. To add to that, i personally do not like these narrow elongated 18+:9AR screens. Despite the lovely bright screen..you will really have to give me a huge 4000+mAh capacity battery, very good camera, enuf storage to swallow that aspect ratio.

V30 wide angle camera is 120%, G7 wide angle - 107%, hmmm, and I think V20 was 125%

I think I will buy a G6. Same camera, bigger battery, much smaller, Oreo just released, perfectly flat screen suitable for edge to edge tempered glass screen protector.

From owning LG V20 all I can say is they need at least 4000mah battery. Bigger batteries and no notches, please. With so many manufacturers, why is it so hard to grasp? Huawei does a good job, but it's not optimised for qhd. That's why I love these batteries drain comparisons on yt with real life usage. 3hrs and phones are dying. Turn on your camera during constant holiday use, you will get less than an hour, Samsung. Not impressed considering pricing. Not impressed at all.

Anonymous, 02 May 2018The price is 849 EUR !!! (LG source) in EU for 4GB / 64 GB version...LG is totally naive and out of mind.. if they think that with this price wil sell this crap flagship phone.. S9 and S9+ in now much cheaper already and moreover for few days we will have here oneplus 6 and nokia 9 with carl zeiss camera (hopefully and finally with built in fingerprint scanner and amoled display)

thanks, LG.. ugly disgusting notch, no stereo speakers, no amoled screen, no front or built in display fingerprint scanner, and weak battery only 3000mah(at least 3500 should be there) thanks at least for one thing, that You still didnt remove headphone jack, but thats highly not enough!!! im waiting for V40!!! all of those above i want to have in LG V40 model!!! so V40 should have bezelless(or with minimum bezels) 2k super amoled screen with built in fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, 3500-4000 mAh battery , 128gb or 256gb variant model with 6gb ram, snapdragon 845 and of course keeped headphone jack.. why till now no one from all producers wasnt able to create flagship phone like that? is it really soo soo hard to create phone like that?

what is point of putting a notch when it have a chin too.The whole point behind notch is all screen experience.Can't even copy properly .That's why i hate mediocrity .
