Anonymous, 04 May 2018Yawn, as always bunch of apple haters who don't even have an iPhone commenting here, as though... moreIt is a very unfortunate logic. It reminds me of those that did not care about the Nazis attacking the Jews, by the 'logic' of "I'm not a Jew so why should I care?"
Whenever we see a bad development in a market, that have a risk of spreading (here to increase profits and earnings) it is in our own long term interest to speak up. The more clear protest it stirs up, the less likely others are to dare following the iCrooks.
So it is NOT just a matter of feeling sorry for the iFools, it is in our own interest too...
LostInTheReality, 05 May 2018Who cares, as long as people are buying iPhones things aren't changing anyhow.Unfortunately it is worse than that. Other companies see that aPple can get away with cheating the costumers (like the planned obsolescence of preventing the user from easily replacing the battery) without being hammered for it. Then they try to be equally crooked to up their profits too...
Apple should just kill the iphone instead.
PeterThePanda, 03 May 2018Not surprised with how Apple is behaving. Kinda obvious they're greedy and want nothing but to... moreWho cares, as long as people are buying iPhones things aren't changing anyhow.
AnonD-594740, 02 May 2018Google tried to sell it for $20. Now that's greedy.I could get this kind of dongle for
Yawn, as always bunch of apple haters who don't even have an iPhone commenting here, as though Cupertino stole your children and looted your houses.
mir, 03 May 2018Not really. Especially if the headset has excellent connectivity. Bluetooth does not sound as good as wired, when I listen to Bluetooth on my s9 the loudness is probably 30% lower than if I plug directly in. And it does not have the clarity of a dedicated 24bit DAC, you can keeps telling yourself that's its the same, i love music I'm very picky with audio quality
I don't like using Bluetooth, because of the concern of radiation. Wireless headphones, wireless mouse, wireless keyboard, wireless headset, Wi-fi signals (bot your and your neighbours routers), cellular mobile signals etc... It all adds up.
What are the risks to health?
People may regret this in 10-20 years time.....
Doctors are n't cheap....
Stick to wired devices, until we know the results....
Sushant Sic, 03 May 2018I don't believe that they will ever bundle the 300$ AirPods in the Box... They would, just have to add another $250 on iphone price will do.

I would rather buy a competitor which actually has 3.5mm as I use it constantly.
Anonymous, 03 May 2018Dude. You've just taken apart all the haters comments about Apple being greedy xyz. Not to... moreExcept, most of us aren't fans of google either, but other phone manufacturers that don't rob their customers..
Apple just wants to force people to buy more of their crap Beats headphones that themselves overpaid for when buying the company. Gotta monetize that acquisition for the shareholders...
Getting rid of the 3.5mm jack is not same as getting new technology dude, come on. See the big picture, what will happened to us, to them. What are the consequences for using bluetooth earphone everyday? Is our healthy worthy enough? Do we care? And if so many people get sick bcoz of this, who will gain profit? Imagine our kids nowdays already using gadget so much, also hearing music everyday. Please people, see the big picture, and our future. IMHO

Lightning McQueen, 03 May 2018Lets take a brief memory lane.
Apple removed floppy disk drive in the late 90s
Windo... moreThey got rid of the floppy disk in favor of the CD-ROM. It does the same thing but better. Floppy was obsolete, unnecessary and limited in capacity. Not because they are following Mac.
You do know that the notch actually came from an Android phone 1st right? The Sharp Aquos S2 and the Essential ph1 had it 1st and the display maker for Iphone X, Samsung was actually the one who had it patented.
and a Chinese phone maker called Leeco (LeTv) running Android got rid of the headphone jack 1st, not Apple. You are clearly not knowledgeable about these facts...
....
F U Apple
AnonD-594740, 02 May 2018Google tried to sell it for $20.
Now that's greedy.Dude.
You've just taken apart all the haters comments about Apple being greedy xyz. Not to mention actually provide an example of truth greed from companies like their beloved Google. Don't expect to get up votes or recognition for sound logic. These guys are tried and tested Apple. The kind of people to have their best days when another bug article to come out about iOS 11 etc.
Was bound to happen at some point. I just wished that a credible solution existed for people that want high quality sound that current comes out of 3.5mm jacks with DACs. Its okay getting of the headphone jack but the problems are that the solutions out there are not for the hardcore and until this is sorted out, Apple will face resistance. The AirPods are expensive and ultimately not for the audiophiles. They've not even been properly updated with better drivers or the S2 processor for sound.
Meanwhile the likes of HTC and LG have upped their game significantly with amazing sound to the point where even Samsung are far behind them. It is however very disappointing that the pixels do not have the same high standards despite being the ultimate stock android phone.
