[deleted post]Right now I'm looking for an Android phone to buy and I'll do it because I'll get more for my money, whatever prise range I choose. Fiddling with the settings to my liking would just be a bonus. Whereas buying an iPhone 4 I would get much more inferior hardware compared to cheaper phones, flagships from competitive brands...

Ok, so for all those guys who have no clue about how smartpohones work: A powerfull phone is lagging most of the time because: 1, apps that are hogging, 2, the CPU is idel TO CONSERVE BATTERY, and 3, improper customisation.
iPhone has no customisation, no CPU idle to conserve battery, and yes, better optimized apps.
I am an device troubleshooter, and i customized a lot of Android phones, even 600 Mhz Optimus One to run smooth as hell.
On the other hand, now i turned towards BADA OS, and, surprise! I found a brilliant OS, super fast and very optimized. So iPhone is not the only one. Its the marketing that makes the iPhone the alpha phone.

[deleted post]:) There's no such thing as "advanced professional app" for any smartphone. All of them are either copy of a web page or simply trying to bring the PC version to the mobile device. Not that I'm saying it's bad, but please don't repeat the same crap as SJ that without iphone we were living a worse life ;) On a mobile device with 1 button there's absolutely no chance of doing a "professional" task.

By the way, looking at the appstore I really find it difficult to argue on App topics - ~50% are games, ~10% are books and around 10% are shortcuts. It's really difficult to understand your point with business users by looking at that figures.

Anonymous in reply to Bob has the right idea...

Whoever says that you don't need a bigger screen than 3.7 inches is talking rubbish. I personally have a 3.7 inch and I would love some more space.

My bet is that people are either so loyal to Apple (or just sheep that think Apple is best) that the moment somebody tops Apple in a particular field they will just say, "Well, why would I need that, its too much".

Thats just plain ridiculous. It started with other manufacturers having Dual Cores. Suddenly Apple fans started asking why you would need two core on a phone. THE ANSWER IS SIMPLE: ITS GOING TO MAKE THE PHONE FASTER AND MORE CAPABLE, WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU WANT IT.

And now its moved onto screens. Just because other manufacturers can give you more bang for your buck, people are saying, well I don't need it that big, EVEN IF THEY KNOW IT WILL BE NICER.

Anonymous, 01 Sep 2011U doubt the buid quality of iPhone??? Its one of the best in business... Call quality??? I am ... moreWhat makes you think call quality will finally be fixed? It hasn't been in the last 3 iterations. These are phones first and having poor call quality is inexcusable, my first mobile 15 years ago sounded better to those I was talking to than any iPhone does.
Which is a shame since iOS is a decent OS, but the call quality frankly makes them terrible phones.

I'm tired of this stupid sh*t that is everywhere where you can find a phone. Even the latest phones are compared with iPhone 4 which is completely unacceptable since there is nothing to compare with this old garbage. iPhone is a shiny crap and nothing more.

'An iPhone'
'May i ask why?'
'Because its the best phone'
'can you elaborate?'
'It has apps, and is 3G. My friend has one, and its the best'

z, 02 Sep 2011the reason wp7 doesnt sell because it's a window phone. it's a really boring phone. do you ... moreGood that you accept the fact that iOS is really intuitive and simple to use... People dont like to use complicated systems... If they liked WP7 and Symbian phones would have been great hit...

LinuxUser, 02 Sep 20113.7 Inch. Ha, that's just a joke. That kind of spec is associated with a middle of the range d... moreYou know most of people still want smaller screen/PHYSICALLY smaller phone. Or have you seen these huge phones make good sells? Only sgs2 sells. Even that struggle already. If these huge screens are what people want, why they not sell better than iPhone? Huge phones has been long time now and still iPhone sells better with one year old model.

Look the newest htc wp7 phone, 4,7" screen c'mon!

I think the big reason for wp7 bad sells are those huge phones. Huge phones are for tech people wp7 is for normal people just like iPhone too.
