Firefighters, to use his example, dont need to tweet or update facebook or make animal sounds with their phones. what they need is the knowledge that as they rush up a ladder and their phone falls out, its not gonna break.

AnonD-20221, 01 Sep 2011i accept Users complain but when the time comes to buy a new handset they tend to buy the best... morei disagree, here in australia i have sold alot of trade like phones. alot of people these days are wanting quality over quantity. why would people want a phone that does everything if it brakes at 30CM drop.

Second not everyone is suckered in by adds.Some(like myself) actualy do research and buy phones acording to theyr individual needs.Sadly that is not true for most of the consumer universe

If that was the secret to being a hit every phone manufacturer would do an ad of ech of their phones... More so, there have been phones whose ads were done but they ended up being mothing more than a failure... Take the Nokia N97 for example...
