bitchwahhappin, 02 Sep 2011I say cricket shouldYou do know cricket is on a CDMA network right.
does anyone remember the 80's when AT&T was forced to break up ?
no jobs would be lost at t-mobile how would at&t take all of tmobile's customer's and lay off all of tmobile's employees no one would lose there jobs, and jobs would be added its simple ligistic's. by the way I worked for tmobile for 8 years and have now been with at&t going on 3years I know what im talking about, its actually simple math don't be ignorant
The merge will only mean more call center jobs and more reliable network. But we cannot deny the fact government is just taking measures to prevent monopoly. Let's cross the bridge when we get there. :)
A country is in a very poor state once you have to "regulate" markets.

merger should be allowed. you dont seem them stoping apple from the ridiculous price on their that are all just the same and charge more .
let the merger go ahead its business
I think Vodafone should have a go. They already hold 45% of Verizon, so why not establish their own GSM network over there.
bitchwahhappin, 02 Sep 2011I say cricket shouldThat is HILARIOUS. No truly man, have you ever considered comedy! :D. You brightened my day with that joke!!

This is getting really messy & silly. We don't need a GSM monopoly. AT&T... stand down!

I wonder would Simple Mobile have the funds to buy ou that 25%. That would put them more on the main stream cellular providers. But i know they only do prepaid so i dont knwo how that would work out.
All this is silly. Let em merge. Verizon is moving to LTE, which is a GSM offshoot and AT&T is moving there as well. So there wil not be only 1 GSM. Plus if AT&T does not buy tmobile, they`ll end up bankrupt and everyone will be out of work. Get government out of this. They mess up everything they get their hands on.
[deleted post]I read this comment and the Shrek movies popped into my mind (ha ha ha!)
Yeah... I'm also against the so-called merger. However, phone manufacturers could simply make phones capable of accessing all types of networks, not just those specific to T-Mobile. Just like how they do now with penta-band or 2G/3G phones.
