For what xiaomi phone is this replacment? Redmi 5?
Os is it, pros are: Better soc, better back camera, min 3gb ram, 8.1 out of the box, unibody without plastic lines like in redmi 5.
Cons: Smaller battery, biger screen with same hd+ resolution (only).. And higher price for no reason.
Xiaomi is new Samsung from the past, or Huawei today. To many same or to similar phones is on the market, low end, and mid 99%

I really cannot understand all the names and models ,it is totally, totally mess :)
I just wanna compare best cameras of Xiaomi with Sony xz2 - every time it takes me half an hour to find best shooters by names :)

SD625 is beast in all aspects whether gaming and battery performance. Good choice for this affordable S2. I think this will be the successor of RN4 in terms of sales.

I can't see how is this one different from Redmi 5 plus. They're just flooding the market with lots of similar models. I hated it when Samsung did that.
Also, software support can't be as good if they need to support three times more models then before.

this phone as I think is being released to compete with phones from oppo and vivo aka selfie phones. Seems like a good strategy specially the pricing,performance will be better too coz of of the snapdragon 625

It is a good phone and the specs are not boring. The only downside is the screen resolution, but this is only on papers. I have 7 inches 1024x600 tablet and it is OK, so maybe and 720+ won't be so bad on 6 inches.
I still believe that dual camera phones are abosolute bulshit, but people want such, so there is something for them.
But we don't have to forget MiA1/5X, which have more RAM, full HD screen and dual camera, and currently are selling on the same price.
