Shipments are not sales. Last year was thr biggest failure for Apple as the thought they have stupid fans but they proved they are not. It is a now a biggest warning for all smartphone manufacturers as they increase the price with 1 year warranty, 2 years software update, and costly additional accessories! There is no more 7/8 inch Tablets as the mobile screen increase with its size! i am wondering how we used 5 inch screen with one hand but now 6 inch and the size of the phone requires 2 hands. The early days we had 2 years warranty, more than 3 years software update, and free accessories! those are the guarantee that the phone can be used atleast 3 years as it has the life time but now one year boom the phone may die just like apple say you need to replace the cracked screen before change the battery so now 29$ program goes to 150$ yeah they earn money from every way possible by cheating us. If they can make durable phones why can't they give w years warranty as usual! 3 years software updates! and atleast free accessories for the high cost the charge as before! Dell Premium Laptop XPS costs almost the same as Iphone X. Now they come up with cheaper mobiles which means 1000$ phones has the features you can just use 800$ cheap phones with less features. Please stop it. We want the golden era of apple when steve job was alive.

This is both good and bad news for apple. Good for obvious reasons of profit and bragging rights.
Bad because Apple really missed a step here.....they could have launched these device's at double the price and still these results would have been the same.
Hell, they probably could have gone for triple the price and still the people would come, money in hand.

People like what others like, people like whatever they see on tv or into others hands, you know why? Cause people can't think for them selves, they need guidence. And this is how apple, sells the same device for longer then 10 years, the only thing that differs is design and prices. Going sky rocket without a reason. Hitting surface teritorry. A device that has absolutly everything more costly and way better. From processor to screen to touch to battery to ram to ssd. And please don't bull''t me with, being smaller costs more, cause it ain't true. Everything crapple iphone has, is way cheaper then anything surface has, even the buttons. So ignorance is bliss. We u.derstand that, at least keep it low. Their are people that think before they buy.

And is there a price difference between most expensive Samsung and most expensive IPhone? And even chinese phones are getting more and more expensive with every year. So you can say just logo or just most expensive. Also service is very important and in at least on north America Apple service is almost excellent.

Android phone makers want to make $$.. So they think: Which company brings in the most $$? So they copy in hopes of success, some of them even when to compare notch sizes! To show they did a better job.
But sad news is, no one, specially the haters wants a android iPhone copy. So android makers continue to make bad sales.. and wonder why their sales are so bad.
Tip for android makers: Stop copying when you know full well your target audience are, make form n factors and features that enhance your OS.

Apple sold around 12.5% of sales whereas 87.5% sales are Android. If Apple allows any other company to make phones for iOS then they might have a bigger market share. There is no competition for Apple to compare against. Unfortunately, Samsung is not the only company offering Android so they have 100's of competitors to work against! Redmi 5A is a surprise :)
